Terrible shopping experience. The 1 star is for the product which I'm happy with aside from that the whole experience has been truly awful. It’s been one thing after another. First they sent the product for delivery on the wrong day so we weren't there to receive it and then had the audacity to charge a £45 redelivery fee even though it was their error. It took going to the store manager to get this resolved.
Next, the delivery driver said they would only deliver to the curb and they had parked on the wrong side of the road. So I had to carry all the boxes of flooring across a busy road and up to our house. When I unpacked the underlay, one box was damaged and they are refusing to refund this even though the damage was logged on the delivery note.
We have some product to return that was surplus to requirements, I've emailed them, filled in an online form and called them, only to be told they aren't able to help with returns so I have to email a separate email address - no contact telephone number whatsoever. This email has gotten through and they are now claiming I can't return the product as the 14 day window has lapsed. The only reason it has lapsed is because I've been trying to get hold of them for 10 days!
The customer service has been truly appalling. I'd save yourself the hassle, and go somewhere else. Spend a little bit more and you might get someone who cares about their customers.

Called up to find out where my delivery was as it had not arrived yesterday when we were expecting it, was advised the driver had called my work phone and waited 15 minutes before leaving. Was also told that someone had tired to reach out to me to advise it had been returned to the depot and they had apparently emailed me (I have double checked this and can confirm I have had no emails sent about this).
Was told that I would need to pay a delivery charge of £45 and that they could not get it out to me now till the following week. so I would be paying a delivery charge and waiting 5 days now till it will be delivered. Not holding my breath for the quality of the wood now after reading some of the other reviews on here... I would suggest potential buyers shop elsewhere..

Stay away!! The wood delivered to us was completely different to that on the website, and the veneer 2mm instead of the advertised 3mm. We made the 90 minute (each way) journey to discuss the issues and were met with an obstructive returns manager who wasn’t willing to help and preferred to charge for the return collection and lose an exchange order. Her manner was incredibly aggressive and rude. Beware!

Worst customer service I have ever recieved. Product clearly sub standard. Refused to except fault, cost me £300 to return the solid oak work top. Finally gave me a refund weeks after receiving them back but not for the return shipment cost. Do not deal with this company!!!

The advice and the service was impeccable. I went for wide planks and light colours which made my space look bright, warm and welcoming. We did not have a very good experience with Wood and Beyond. Firstly the batch was late, putting us huge pressure to get the floor down for Christmas. Our carpenters were not impressed with the batch of engineered wood, which was seemingly made in two different places as the planks couldn't click together - literally, different thickness, different quality of ply and knots, different colour and different thickness of veneer, as you can see from the pictures. There were a large number of knots, so we had a very large percentage of offcuts, well above the 8% suggested by Wood and Beyond. Our builders did the best they could with the poor quality material but this should not have cost us anywhere near £5.4k (85 planks). Unfortunately, we couldn't return the goods, as we needed a floor to make the property habitable for us to move into. It's been a year now and we still regret our decision to choose Wood and Beyond.

Poor product, though expensive, knots etc. filled roughly with resin that looked blue(!), so not acceptable, or usable. The attentive customer service disappeared when I complained. Secondary (parquet) product added, assured by them as matching that already ordered, was completely different in colour when arrived. Had to pay for return courier charge (£175) as they would not accept that the main product was faulty. Very disappointed with both the product and the company. Did manage to get a full refund eventually but a lengthy drawn out confrontation did not help with their PR. Would recommend avoiding this company.

Have used them once before and was pleased. However, my last order looked awfull containing large amounts of poor quality filler that did not match the grade of wood purchased. This was verified by an independent Wood flooring assessor. I found Wood and Beyond very difficult to deal with and to accept any liability. In the end I claimed back via a VISA SN75 claim. Would therefore not use again.

Note: My issues have been followed up with the customer service team, who have compensated me for my issues. I am pleased with how my issue was dealt with, so I have amended my review to 3 stars.

First to say the flooring in my flat looks great. We ordered the Spring Grey planks and the White Grey Herringbone. But the delivery and service was an absolute nightmare that it has put me off the company completely and would sadly not use them again.
There were endless issues:
1. I had prepared to take a day off work to be able to be home to accept the flooring, but when the courier arrived he only had 13 boxes of the 23 boxes of the Spring Grey flooring I had ordered. I called Wood and Beyond to ask what had happened, as this was on Thursday and I had two guys coming to lay the flooring on the weekend - so they needed a couple of days to acclimatize. They essentially refused to deal with the issue over the phone - insisted I needed to email them and that they would needed to check with the courier, who was standing right next to me and could have confirmed with them on the phone 10 were missing. I could not believe that no one was willing to speak to me over the phone. But I emailed them straight away - which I never got a response to - and had to continue to chase them and call them for updates every 2 hours. All I wanted to know was if they were going to be able to get me the 10 missing boxes they had not delivered. Not only did they not explain WHY I didn't receive all the boxes I had paid for, they told me the earliest they could get them to me was the next day (Friday), which would mean I would need to take an additional day off work. There was barely an apology for the inconvenience and absolutely ZERO COMPENSATION for their error that meant I had to take another day off work.
2. More than half the White Grey herringbone flooring, which we bought for our hallway, was bowed (curved and not straight), which made it almost impossible to lay. We followed all the acclimatization instructions, and even tried to flatten them. But trying to flatten more than half of the planks of wood was a nightmare and a lot had to be scrapped. I cannot tell you how annoyed and frustrated the builders were. Wood and Beyond's website suggests ordering 8% extra in case of wastage. I had 20% wastage with flooring that was unusable because they were bowed. I called them to explain that the quality of the flooring had been an issue that we were unable to finish the hallway despite ordering above their recommended contingency. Despite all the issues I had experienced with the delivery and quality of wood they would not send me another box for free. While they did give me a slight discount in the end, I found it a bit frustrating that they would make me pay not only for another box but also the delivery as well after I had already paid £2000 for flooring. If I wanted it to arrive on a Saturday they said they would charge me another £50 for delivery - which would mean one box would cost me over £100 just to finish the job. I explained that I couldn't miss another day off work, so they said they would put me down for a morning delivery so I could go to work in the afternoon. The courier did not arrive until 5 PM! I had to miss ANOTHER day off work to be receive their delivery. Again, I have been offered ZERO COMPENSATION.
3. I had one box of the Spring Grey flooring left over. They usually make you deliver it yourself to the warehouse if you want a refund, but as they were delivering the extra herringbone to me anyway I asked them if they could collect the extra box at the same time. They said they would do this given the issues I had experienced, not only that they said would make sure the refund was issues ASAP rather than the 14 days it usually takes. That was 11 days ago - I have received no refund or communication to say they were processing my refund.
Their customer service and general service leaves a lot to be desired

The service in the shop was good, but the delivery was late and some of the boards were damaged. Customer service has a stated two day delay (although strangely there is no delay if you want to buy new boards). I received a partial replacement but then my follow up mails received no response.

We purchased the engineered smoked oak wood flooring from this company, I cannot rate it highly enough, each box came with ideal different lengths and each layer was separated with tissue paper excellent packaging.
It was very easy to lay simply push together and tap with a block, the finished product looks beautiful,each plank is made up of 3 layers. This is the second batch I've had from them,I would recommend this product to anyone, you will not be disappointed.

I spent 5 years researching our replacement floor and finally ordered from Wood & Beyond because they had the widest (300) width and longest length (2200) engineered Oak. The floor is absolutely stunning. I ordered 66 meters! It has MADE our living room. Our builders found the wood simple to lay and it looks beautiful. I was really worried about ordering on-line and need not have been concerned. I saved £££ thousands by ordering from Wood & Beyond instead of going with a local retail (EXPENSIVE) company. The company sent my item for delivery which was expensive....£30 for one worktop.
The driver sent a message at 1927hrs but had been to the address already at 1840hrs.
Even though I had spoken that evening to the wood and beyond company their only suggestion was I pay an additional £45+VAT or cancel and only get refunded cost less shipping
I couldn't have possibly take. The order due to their poor delivery service! Text only which arrived an hour after they left! No call it follow up and despite offers to collect from depot in Stoke they sent items back to London???? Really poor logistics if you ask me really bad service! Polite customer services though but clueless and unprofessional all round! £30 stolen if you ask me!

Purchase balau decking from Wood and Beyond
Very good communications and delivery worked out okay. Bought 22 sq metres with 2 boxes of concealed fixtures. Had numerous problems with the decking. The timber appeared to come from at least two different batches. Half was much lighter in colour, not red at all and much, much lighter in weight. Also the sections were slightly different in width by a couple of millimeters or so, and some pieces were thinner than others. To make matters worse still, all the board ends were not cut quite square (2 to 3 mm out of square) meaning I had to re cut most of the board ends. Overall. I was very disappointed with this purchase.

I have had no end of issues with Wood & Beyond. From a 3 month delay for delivery to the wrong product being delivered. Even when I went into the store (twice) the product I was shown was not what I received. While in reality I didn't mind too much, it was a little annoying.
Customer services were not particularly interested in resolving the problem. I phoned and was told to email and someone would get back to me within 24 hours. I tried to discuss it on the on line chat and they were equally unhelpful.
In the end my builder had to drive to the depot to collect the correct product. And even that was not without issue when they replaced the lacquered boards... with more lacquered boards...
I have ended up with a mixture of lacquered and oil waxed flooring as there wasn't any waxed in the size I wanted. There has been no offer of compensation for my real inconvenience.
I suggest you avoid this company.
