Diana has helped us to shape our last 2 homes and we cannot speak highly enough of her and her team. From the consultation right through to the completion of the work, we have been so impressed with the level of service and attention to detail, meaning we can just get on with our own busy lives without having to chase people around, which is what we had been used to over the years. Despite us not being very creative ourselves we had in mind how we wanted it to look and Diana helped to read our minds completely and we ended up with exactly what we wanted. (well far nicer actually!!) Would thoroughly recommend Diana without a moment's hesitation.

I first asked Mark to replace a door frame and install a door. I wanted to see what Mark could do and what he is like to work with before making commitments for other work. Since installing the first door he has successfully gone on to: •Replace all doors in the home, •Install 3 sets of pocket doors, •Rearrange internal partition walls to make a new walk in wardrobe. •Lay laminate flooring, skirting and coving. Mark is great to work with. He takes my ideas, improves them and them executes an excellent job. He also listens and takes on-board ideas he’d not considered. His bespoke work is excellent – attention to detail ‘Spot on’. Not only does he provide a service to my high standards, he does it in a very relaxed and friendly way. He’s totally trustworthy; I have no worries leaving him in my home unattended. He also gets on well with my 12 year old. We always know where he is in the house because he whistles to himself while working. I’d recommend mark to undertake any activity – he’s a craftsman who seems able to turn his hand to anything.
JDC Design & Installation

We recently had our bathroom renovated by JDC Ceramics & Bathrooms Ltd. As we were spending so much money, we realised that we would have to do our research before deciding upon a supplier. There are several bathroom companies in our area and we had visited a couple of showrooms before moving further afield on the recommendation of a friend. We had a basic idea of how we wanted the bathroom to look but upon entering the showroom at JDC we were immediately impressed by the quality and variety of displays which are set out really well and gave us some fresh ideas. Jeff was very attentive and helpful, giving technical and design advice. We booked a free site survey and JDC took it from there. Following the site survey we attended the showroom and went through the design with Jeff, he had drawn up plans and displayed 3D pictures on a large TV screen that were so detailed that they looked like photographs of the finished bathroom! We changed a few little things and they were immediately reflected in the drawings. Eventually we came up with the final design, paid a deposit and agreed a start date. Jennie then went through the paperwork with us, discussed the guarantees and work schedule and said that Bill would come and see us before the job started. A week later, we had second thoughts about the colour of the tiles and called Jennie. She said that it was not a problem and we should call in at our convenience to go through the design again. We went back in the showroom and Jennie picked out several tiles that she thought would go well with the furniture. We chose an alternative and left. Jennie called us back a couple of hours later to confirm that the new tiles were available and were on order, also there was a small cost saving! A couple of weeks before we were due to start, we received a call from Bill, the Contracts Manager at JDC who made an appointment to visit our home to discuss the logistics of the project. He arrived, donned his blue overshoes and accompanied us to the bathroom. He had a good look around, knocked on the walls in the bathroom, asked several questions and put us at ease with his calm, friendly manner. He then got out his torch and had a look in the loft and airing cupboard and asked to see the boiler and fuseboard. He was certainly very thorough! He asked if there was storage space in the garage for materials, discussed the best spot for the skip and advised us to remove anything we wanted to keep from the bathroom prior to the arrival of the workforce. He even advised us to take down pictures from the stairs and to move ornaments from the hall because workmen would be moving heavy materials up and down the stairs. He gave us his business card with his mobile phone number advised us to call him if we had any queries or concerns and left. The skip arrived on the Saturday. D-Day! Kieran arrived and applied a plastic protection to the carpeting in the hall, up the stairs and along the landing to the bathroom. He was closely followed by Ed, the plumber and his sidekick Sam who had the old bathroom out and in the skip faster than I could imagine! I rang Jennie in the office to pay the next instalment then Bill came to check that everything was ok and had some technical discussions with Ed who then spent most of the day doing the plumbing. Kieran came back with Jamie just before Ed left and started to prepare the room for tiling. By 5pm we were able to go and view the bathroom alone. We were amazed with the progress and how much bigger the bathroom looked! We had a glass of wine to celebrate. On Tuesday Kieran and Jamie turned up and continued to prepare the walls and floor for tiling. James and Pip, the electricians, then arrived and started the electrics. James had us up in the bathroom discussing switching arrangements and lighting positions. Bill then arrived and made sure that we were happy with the progress of the job, spoke to the lads for a few minutes and said if we needed anything to him to give him a call. The PVC ceiling went up and the lights and fan were in. That evening we surveyed our large, empty, well-lit bathroom. We had a glass of wine to celebrate. Wednesday arrived and so did Kieran and Jamie. They disappeared upstairs and carried on with the work. Jennie rang to check that we were happy with everything and said that we should expect to have some tiles up today! Bill arrived and spoke to the lads. He had time for a cup of tea! He noticed that a couple of screws had popped a little bit of plaster off the hall ceiling, probably due to the banging and activity above. He told us not to worry, it would be put right before the job was finished. Later on, Kieran asked us to go through the layout of the tiling with him as he thought that he could improve on the original design by putting the feature tiles in a different place. We agreed with him and tiling commenced! That night, with quite a few tiles on the wall, shower tray in, shiny new ceiling and LED lights, we could see it all coming together. We had a glass of wine to celebrate. On Thursday we realised that we would need a shower basket in the shower enclosure and, after Kieran and Jamie arrived, we hot-footed it to see Jeff and Jennie. Jeff had a few minutes before his next appointment so we stayed for a coffee and a chat. We chose a shower basket and a shelf too. Jennie ordered them for us and we returned to see how the bathroom was coming on. Kieran said that the tiling could be finished today and Ed would return tomorrow to finish the plumbing. Around 4pm Jamie said that a box of floor tiles appeared to be damaged and that the tiling wouldn’t be finished today but they would complete all that they could to allow Ed to finish his bit. That night we surveyed our bathroom. Large and (almost) completely tiled. We have been promised a working shower for the weekend! We had a glass of wine to celebrate. Friday started early. As did Ed. 7.30am. Ed advised us to fill the kettle as the water would be off for a large part of the day. He and Sam got about their business and Bill turned up. He apologised for the inconvenience caused by the damaged tiles and said that replacements would arrive on Monday so the impact would be minimal. He also said that Alan would be arriving on Monday afternoon to paint the bathroom door casing and door and also to repair the hall ceiling. In the afternoon, Ed was finished. Kieran turned up to seal the shower and all the corners so that we could use the bathroom over the weekend if we wanted. That night we looked at our very nearly completed brand new bathroom. We had finished the bottle of wine so we went out for a meal to celebrate. On Saturday night we looked at our bathroom and had a shower to celebrate. On Monday morning James arrived to fit the lit mirror and do his testing for the electrical certificate. Bill arrived with the tiles and to check that all was ok and that we knew how everything worked. Kieran and Jamie came to fit the last couple of tiles and finish off the little bits including fitting the accessories. The skip was taken away and Jamie jet-washed the drive where it had been. Alan turned up to paint in the bathroom and repair and paint the hall ceiling. We went to Tesco. When Kieran left he and Jamie took everything away from the garage and took up the plastic carpet protection. Jennie called to say that the cleaners would be in tomorrow and to check that we were happy with everything. Carole called from the cleaning contractors to arrange a time for tomorrow to clean the bathroom. That night we stood in our brand new, amazing bathroom and smiled. We wondered why we needed the cleaners but we’ll go with the flow. We had a glass of wine to celebrate. We had been to Tesco. On Tuesday morning Bill called to arrange a time to visit to go through the final paperwork, the cleaners were booked for 10 so we agreed 1pm. The cleaners turned up at 10 to 10 and spent an hour cleaning what we thought was an already clean bathroom. We were amazed at the difference! It sparkled. Bill arrived just before 1pm and we went through the whole bathroom with him, checking everything was working fine and that we were happy with it all. We signed to agree that we were satisfied and Bill left. I called Jennie to thank her and the whole team for such a fantastic job and paid the final balance. Then we stood in our beautiful new bathroom and were very, very happy with it. We had a cup of tea to celebrate. It was only 2pm after all! If anybody is considering commissioning a bathroom refurbishment then they should look no further than JDC Ceramics & Bathrooms Ltd. The products are of the highest quality possible and the service is absolutely second to none. The whole experience has been a pleasure and everybody we have met has been polite, courteous, professional and friendly. Nothing has been too much trouble for any of them and each and every one through the whole process from meeting Jeff and Jennie on day one to Bill signing off the job at the end has been absolutely fantastic. The teamwork was seamless and we will certainly be speaking to Jeff again soon when we are ready to refurbish the kitchen.

I have known Lana for some time and have seen many examples of the magic she has worked for other clients. A couple of years ago I bought a large, Victorian house which had many original features intact, but was in need of a complete makeover from top to bottom. Other than wanting to keep the original fireplaces, deep skirting boards, lincrusta wallcovering and decorative covings, I didn't really have a particular 'look' in mind. Lana explained that the refurbishment would have to be completed in phases, with the first stage focusing on building work. The combination of her meticulous planning and extensive network of contacts meant that the replumbing, rewiring, complete window replacement and building of a new staircase were all completed on time, to budget and with the minimum of fuss. There was, of course, a lot of disruption during this part of the process but the end results were worth it. Lana's input into the design of the new, large double glazed sash windows has turned them into beautiful features, rather than functional objects. Her design of the new staircase to fit into a tight space demonstrates her technical expertise aswell as creativity. Phase 2 of the project involved the replacement of bathrooms and the kitchen. Lana designed the layouts for each, starting with a blank piece of paper. A number of options were explained to me, from the fairly straightforward replacement like-for-like of fittings, through to the complete rebuild including removal of walls. Having selected the preferred layout (I went for the complete rebuild), Lana then set to work sourcing unusual and stunning tiles, worktops, fittings and lighting. The results are amazing - totally functional rooms but beautiful at the same time. The final phase (for now, at least) of the transformation was the one which people normally associate with interior designers - furniture, fabrics, floor coverings, lighting and accessories. I confess to being hopeless at putting together combinations of colours, designs and textures but Lana is an absolute star. The array of products she is able to source from around the world is incredible and for each room I was presented with alternative schemes. I have contemporary furniture from Italy covered in fabric from France, sliding panels created from Japanese silk, light fittings from Portugal and bespoke furniture, hand crafted locally to Lana's original design. The overall look of the house is phenomenal. The original Victorian features have been brought back to life by careful choices of colour and are complemented throughout by the careful choice of modern materials. As if this isn't enough, Lana produces fabulous original artwork on canvas, glass, metal and wood. The perfect finishing touch to any room.

We have used Fiona Watkins on a number of our projects, but our development of 'Larchwood', as a new build contemporary home, was the largest of these assignments. Fiona delivered a full service interior design, including but limited to: decor, finishings, kitchen, bathrooms, lighting and furniture. We truly believe that this fabulous, high value home would not have turned out as well as it did, without Fiona's design management. Fiona is not only an exceptional interior designer but her personable approach both with us and the contractor's on site made it so much more an enjoyable experience. Her services were also extended to the procurement of a variety of fixtures and finishings, including the kitchen and bathroom. She was able to negotiate some terrific deals and made considerable cost savings to the project. We would highly recommend Fiona to anyone wishing to appoint a talented Interior Designer. Pete did an absolutely fabulous job on our en suite redesign, we can’t recommend him enough. Pete completely took the pressure off by supporting with every part of the design process; encouraging us to be braver with our choices, but still keeping the space practical. Pete was then on hand throughout for product selection, ordering, liaising with tradesmen...basically everything we needed but didn’t have time for. Although our budget was modest, the end result has real luxe/bespoke feel and we are thrilled with it. Thank you!

We live in an up and coming area of Manchester and made the decision that we would rather max out the use of the space of our well proportioned mid-terrace property, than the cost of upsizing in the area we would want to live in. So we employed Bespoke living to help realise the potential of our house something that we have no regrets in doing! For Dave came out and gave us some really progressive and imaginative layouts for the whole property. Not just offering one option but a variety dependent upon budget/planning etc. This was great for us to become more decisive on what we actually wanted and our now progressing with a loft conversion accommodating a guest bedroom with ensuite and a redistribution of the ground floor that creates a more flowing open plan feel whilst bringing a bigger kitchen with dinning island to the centre of the house. We would highly recommend Dave as his knowledge, enthusiasm and vision helped us realise what we actually needed.
