Curtain Up Ltd

I placed an order for 2 sets of William Morris Curtain’s on 2nd March 2018. Delivery was expected at the end of April. This business has been a going concern for 25 years and previous reviews were excellent. I did not receive my goods and have now been waiting 12 weeks. I have also paid for the fabric which I understood had been delivered to the shop. As I had received no messages I contacted another local business who gave the owner of curtain up my number I then received a very short e-mail to say that due to hospital appointments they were a little behind and my curtains would be slightly delayed. On further investigation I learnt that a window in the shop has been boarded up and a message is on the door to say they are taking a short break. Other evidence leads me to think this business has gone out of business leaving customers out of pocket.

I ordered two large Roman blinds and paid £500 deposit on 9 March with expected fitting date within 6 weeks. To date, 28 May 2018, I have heard nothing more, phone calls, voicemail and emails remain unanswered. I visited the shop which now appears almost empty. This company did have a good reputation but not informing clients of the current situation is unacceptable.

I used this company to provide a set of made to measure William Morris patteern curtains in around 2016 and was extremely pleased with the outcome. In Feb of 2018 I made a further order which has so far not been fulfilled. I am am extremeley concerned my phone calls are not been answered. I sent a recorded delivery letter on 18/05 which as of 21/05 has not been deleivered.
