Feathered Nest Soft Furnishings

The Proprietor of Feathered Nest, Helen Antell, has over 27 years' experience in Soft Furnishings. She decided to turn a love of sewing, which she has had since she was a child, into a career. To this end, she attended the School of Art and Design at Bournemouth University and successfully earned her City and Guilds Part 1 and Advanced in Soft Furnishings and Art and Design. Starting off in a spare bedroom, moving to a converted garage and now based in Helen's own shop, the business has gone from strength to strength and has become large enough to cope with sizeable commercial projects. She derives genuine pleasure from her work and particularly enjoys the design process, whether it be the interpretation of customers' own ideas or making suggestions to customers who are unsure of their requirements.
