We’ve used Hanging Space on several projects. They created a fabulous dressing room for us with built in wardrobes, dressing table, lighting, storage benches & seating. They built a really beautiful office desk to a design we spotted on the internet and in a wood that matched our study. Elaine is always responsive to our ideas and has a great eye for detail as well as the imagination to show us what works and looks great. In these Covid times where supply of materials has been disrupted, she has always kept us in the loop and worked hard to solve problems. Disappointing experience, would not recommend. Paid the deposit and confirmed install dates. Called up to ask whether it was possible to postpone the install and was met with a frantic and point blank no, it has already been built. I accepted this and the call ended with the Design Director saying see you on Monday (the planned install date). Very shortly after I received an email cancelling the order. All very confusing and un-professional. So many other bespoke furniture companies out there so no need to put up with unreliable people/companies who react so badly to a query and then pull out completely.

I am sorry this has been your experience. However, this is a very rare occurrence but on this occasion the project was not only requested for postponement but also a complete design change just one week prior to installation to allow for an air conditioning unit to be installed.

Since the bespoke painted cabinet had already been made it was not feasible to reconstruct it, it would have required a total redesign and manufacture. We thought it a more than fair outcome for all parties, in this situation, to refund the clients full deposit and incur the cost of the manufacture ourselves rather than risk further issues by trying to alter the cabinet .

Obviously we were disappointed to have not continued with this project but feel our actions were fair given the circumstances..
