Starting house renovations at the end of January 2020, our crystal ball didn’t tell us that Covid 19 would disrupt our lives so much! What a year and what a build! The result…. A double story rear extension, new boiler and plumbing, and full insulation and decoration of the rest of the property. Through the whole period, our partnership with the MK team was very strong and we worked around all the challenges a regular build throws at you, plus all the restrictions in working hours and reduced materials availability. Michael and the team were extremely helpful, punctual, and personable with our family living at the property during the chaos. Mila delivered the finances in a format which work for us and on a weekly rhythm, so we never lost track. Michael also supported with sound advice on how to get the most out of our budget. We felt in control of the money we had set out at the start. I would highly recommend MK PBS as they always had out interest to heart, and we worked as a team to adapt as we went through for a stunning outcome!

Modernise and fit a new kitchen, replace all the electrics, plaster, tile and decorate all the walls, install new floor, doors and windows. Excellent service and quality. Flawless work. Our bathroom is absolutely beautiful. A tiny downstairs room has been transformed into a wonderful cloak room, and we also had a door blocked in, with a glass block window. We got Michael and his team back after the fantastic work they did in 2016 to replace our bathrooms and also the doors upstairs along with some other smaller jobs. Everything was done really well, particularly the bathrooms which were completed to a very high standard and with some excellent touches along the way. This is the second project MK have done for us. After an outstanding impression with the kitchen project a year ago expectations were quite high. In fact, we were concerned that may not be replicated. IT WAS SIMPLY AMAZING! To add to the complexity, we left the country while work was carried out (as its our only bathroom) and left everything in capable hands of Michael and the team. Also, the layout of the bathroom was changed. The result was outstanding. Tiling guy is a virtuoso, everything is done how we wanted it, the home was neat. All finished on time and budget. We could not have asked for more. Lastly, to confirm – we found MK a few years ago on Check a Trade and they were one of 3 quotes we got for our kitchen. It was immediately obvious that they were head and shoulders above the others. We have now used twice and cannot recommend them highly enough!

We can't recommend Michael and his team highly enough. They completed our wrap around extension situated up 32 steps with no other access through the heat of last summer on time and to a very high standard. Michael and his team were always punctual, courteous and considerate to us and our neighbours and no job was a problem. When issues presented themselves Michael always had a solution. Mila handled the finances efficiently, keeping us informed on expenditure on a weekly basis. Everyone told us that having an extension built is a stressful process, but with hand on heart we can say we had no stress at all. We absolutely love our extension, thanks Michael!

In June 2019 MKPBS refurbished our living room and connected dining room. The work they did consisted of: * Removing lining paper and coving * Removing a fireplace * Replacing an external patio door with an internal wooden one (customising the frame, trim and threshold) * Replacing a radiator * Replacing lights, sockets and switches * Re-plastering the walls and ceiling * Painting walls, ceiling, skirting and doors Throughout the project they worked conscientiously, minimising disruption and dust in the rest of house and tidying up at the end of each day. They were well organised and motivated, taking pride in their work. They maintained high standards from start to finish and produced results which exceeded our expectation. They stuck to the original quote and provided an itemised bill with receipts for all materials used. They kept us informed of their plan and the progress they were making. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again - you can trust that they'll discuss options with you, work hard, look after your house and finish to a high standard.

The initial quote was broken down by line item, and they came in on budget and ahead of schedule which I understand is very rare in the construction trade! Work has included a new utility room, kitchen, wet room, a number of bathrooms, plastering and painting, laying flooring. Outdoor work, which included a new patio, re varnishing windows and doors, new fencing and out door painting and much else. Michael has always been very reliable, turning up when he says he will, gets the job done quickly, without rushing or compromising quality. He stays until the job is done. There doesn't seem to be any job that Michael and his team cannot tackle and do well. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I found MK builders after online search. Immediately it become apparent that they were apart from every one else. From punctuality in attending first meeting, politeness, to professionalism. Following on from an extension, we used MKPBS again. We had our entire en suite ripped out and redone. Again we had someone there every day without fail. We have a water pressure system at the house and no water tank and they are able to see all issues that arise and come up with a solution to all problems. They have solved our water pressure problem and we now have a stunning new bathroom that matches our requirements. They have also added extras to the master bedroom, new radiator, new plug sockets for downstairs, and are re-decorating the whole thing. We will definitely use again
