By Savvy is the creation of Daniel Savage, who after 11 years in the homeware industry decided to act upon his growing sense that the high street simply wasn’t giving people the kind of diversity and customisation that he craved as a consumer. He thought about how when choosing paint for example there are hundreds of shades, different finishes – even bespoke colours mixed to order, but when it comes to home accessories you find yourself looking at the same old materials, colour combinations and one-size-fits-all solutions year after year. It seemed only the pricey designer ranges offered something different. Daniel wanted to move mainstream homewares on, to reflect what accessories for everyday life should be – customisable, functional and beautifully made at a sensible price.
