As we extended our house we needed a whole new kitchen. We went to a number of the high street kitchen dealers and received quotes along with some high-tech computer generated designs. We met Stuart at a christmas fair and saw him again later, believing that we could never afford a bespoke kitchen made from real oak and local wood. How wrong we were! Stuart is much better value for money compared to established kitchen companies. Moreover, the designs that he suggested were far more creative than anything we had previously imagined. Stuart created our kitchen to the specific requirements of our needs. He added his professional knowledge and experience and we now have a masterpiece. His workmanship is excellent and he was happy to incorporate our ideas and also gave suggestions that saved us money. He was extremely tidy, very thorough with what he did, he was helpful, conscientious, completely reliable, and it was a pleasure to have him at our house and worked well with our builder. When the kitchen units were all fitted, it surpassed what we were expecting. His finish and attention to details really impressed us. Thanks a million Stuart !

We commissioned Clachan Wood to make a bed for us - I had an idea of what we were looking for, and talked it through with Stuart. He came up with the suggestion of spalted beech and as soon as he showed me the raw timber, I knew he was right. Stuart works to an incredible precision but still manages to get the soul into his work. The bed is a stunning piece of furniture, and is simply unique. Stuart talks you through a project from the design, the raw materials, the construction and choice of finishes, and I found he was happy (I think) to involve us in every aspect of it as it progressed. He takes immense pride in his creations, and many appear on his website to show others what he is capable of. Don't expect to get all this for next to nothing, or the next day. When you see the skill, time and effort that go into everything he does, and consider that you are getting a bespoke item tailored to you, and unique, you'll understand that it will cost a bit more and take a little while longer.

Commented: love this kitchenHello there, I made all of the units in the kitchen. It is all made in solid wood. They are made to be free-standing and not actually fitted. Apart from the wall cabinets of course!
