Working from a well-equipped outdoor workshop in the Brecon Beacons, I offer bespoke furniture for the house and garden. I also design and build outdoor timber structures including pergolas, gazebos and verandahs, swing chairs and hammock stands and make and install rustic cleft wood fencing. Having been trained in traditional furniture making and timber-framing techniques I frequently work with green (unseasoned) wood and use mostly hand tools to keep the character and natural strength of the wood in the finished product. I will use locally sourced or re-claimed timber whenever I can and keep good relations with a number of small businesses who supply timber felled as part of planned forestry management or coppicing schemes and are fully certified. Windblown trees and driftwood are also an important source for my timber. Please contact me for further information.
