Matt Porteous specialises in producing high quality fitted furniture across Surrey and London in both contemporary and traditional designs, using a wide range of natural and manmade materials. With traditional wood working techniques, this entirely bespoke furniture service offers a highly extensive choice in order for you to create your dream home. We only use dedicated and experienced craftspeople with years of experience, and unlike most companies who supply fitted furniture; everything is made from scratch in our Surrey based workshops. Furthermore, we do not use any modular units that are plainly adapted to fit. Instead, all the materials for your project are ordered individually and especially for you. Every project is unique and tailored to meet your individual requirements, taste and style. Matt Porteous designed and installed some very high quality and complex joinery on a luxury new build Apartment block for me recently; namely wall panelling, desk, mailboxes, mirrors, Lift door panels etc He and his joiners acted very professionally, always arrived to site on time with the said items which had been exquisitely hand crafted and left site having cleaned and cleared up I would have no hesitation in recommending Matt and his team

MP Joinery are amazing they design and make wonderful furniture. We have had the following made :- A complete study including two desks, and fitted mirrored cupboard. Wardrobes with suede panels and matching mirror in dressing areas. A mirror and furniture in different shades of glass and mirrors which matches a grand piano in the hall. Bathroom furniture. Family room coffee table with matching side tables, dining table and sideboard. Matt is happy to discuss your needs and take comments on board then he will come back with drawing for consideration. I would go nowhere else for furniture. Every item is unique.

Matt was recommended to me from an interior designer he does work for. A bespoke furniture makers work varies in quality a lot so I was bit worried about the final product, but having met Matt and seen some previous projects, you get a quick impression he is passionate about what he does and settles for nothing less than perfect. Matt's furniture was simply incredible. As the pieces came into the house I was so impressed I asked him to make more and more. Eventually he did 2 studies, a 4m wide tv unit,beatiful coffee table, fake book door, built in bunk beds,coffee machine/fridge unit and a great drinks bar unit. Matt's work was on time,on budget and he's great to have around on site, I will be asking him to do all future developments with me and wouldn't use anyone else.
