Sandie Shepherd enjoyed many years as a successful Art Director within the film and television industry and now devotes her time and personal effort to producing bespoke commissions of wallpapered furniture that combine flair with the highest level of craftsmanship. Work on any item, be it a chest of drawers, bookcase, dressing table, bureau, or indeed anything else which may be treated in such a manner, is undertaken with great attention to detail and a completion entailing several coatings of clear varnish in order to ensure maximum quality and longevity of finish. Sandie has an impressive presentation folder of past commissions and I was particularly pleased with the latest acquisition of a drawer unit for a demanding London client. Having now placed three items of very individual furniture I am sure that anyone showing similar interest will not be disappointed.

Sandie has renovated 6 pieces of furniture for us. Each piece is completely unique and completed to an extremely high and professional standard. It's great to be able to choose a wallpaper that complements your room decor and have a very plain (and often cheap) piece of furniture transformed into something very special. Sandie is a lovely person to deal with, very understanding when one is finding it hard to make a decision (on not just wallpaper, but knobs also) and will give advice but without taking over that decision process. We consider that she provides very good value for money, when one considers the number of painstaking hours she puts in when completing each piece. We absolutely love each piece of furniture that she has made for us and highly recommend Sandies lovely manner, professional finish and her artistic flair.

Sandie transformed an old tired well worn bureau into a memorable sentimental piece of furniture which will be treasured for many years. She is an absolute gem, advising from the start of the project with such enthusiasm, researching and putting forward many ideas but nevertheless having the ability to understand the required effect. I am absolutely delighted with the completed piece and would, without hesitation, recommend Sandie's workmanship and attention to detail if you are looking for a unique piece of furniture - you will not be disappointed. Sandie has 'upcycled' three items of furniture for us, all to a very high (i.e. immaculate) standard. She is a very easy person to deal with, and is happy to offer detailed advice whilst being very respectful of the customers wishes. The first item to be tackled was a post war utilitarian glazed cabinet which had sentimental value but which looked very dated. The finished item is such a transformation that its difficult to believe what she started off with. The other two items were 1980's Welsh Dressers. These were good quality joinery items but looked very dated being dark brown polished wood. Again she advised and also listened to us to produce a finished item that fits in really well with a modern domestic setting, We would not hesitate to recommend her work to others.

Sandie has so far done a couple of pieces for me, both are fabulous. She is really creative, has excellent taste and produces work of a really high standard. She was also extremely flexible and accommodating when she was working with me, with a tricky spec, awkward delivery arrangements and some heavy lifting. Thanks Sandie.
