I am Anita. I have been re-upholstering now for just over 6 years. Originally I started out as a dressmaker. I have always loved fabrics and really found my niche restoring unloved pieces of furniture. I have a workshop at my home and it suits me well as I have a family. As well as upholstering I sometimes paint furniture and add trims in the form of piping, studs buttons or pom poms. I also make cushions. I take commissions and am happy to work with traditional textiles as well as helping customers with sourcing fabrics that suit their needs. You can upholster a chair lots of different ways; different stuffings or materials, to make it your own and special to you. As well as upholstery I take on clothing repairs and also take up and alter curtains. *Please note...I no longer recover sofas* sadly its just getting too hard for me to lift.
