Bob quoted for our building extension project back in January 2017. We decided to use Bob as at the time he seemed like a decent guy and we had met with him a few times. He provided us a payment schedule and we made first payment of £8,214. He was due to start in March 2017. What followed was a catalogue of broken promises, lies and failure to start the work on four separate occasions, no materials were arriving on site at any point to even suggest he was ever intending on starting the work either. We had lost all confidence in him which left us no choice but to terminate our agreement as it was clear the building work would not be completed or even started. Bob refused to give us our money back, having tried every possible avenue to recover this including legal routes has cost us further money. All in all Bob cost us around 10k and we had nothing to show for it!
