After speaking with several interior designers I contacted Katherine and knew from our first call that she totally understood what we were trying to achieve with the renovation of our very derelict Victorian farmhouse! This was not our first project so we had really strong ideas for the design and final finish, but taking on the huge task of project managing the build ourselves meant Katherine’s advise and guidance throughout was invaluable in helping finalise decisions on lighting, paint colours and the like when decision fatigue was at it worst! It has been an absolute delight working with Katherine, her flexible, intuitive approach was exactly what we needed. The house has surpassed our expectations and Katherine has very much been part of that realisation. If we ever take on another project (we won’t!) Katherine would be at the top of my contact list! Pomander Interiors have been excellent, helping my husband and I reach our dream (and agreed together!) look for our home. Kathy's eye and attention to detail, combined with her knowledge and confidence of what does and doesn't work, have led us towards real pride as we host Christmas for our families this year. Just finished Project 2 with Katherine. She pushed me to the edge of my comfort zone and I’m really pleased she did. My new bedroom and ensuite are fabulous. But she was also very respectful of the existing pieces in the room that I wanted to keep and she recommended some beautiful designs and colours that made the best of them. We chose a potentially really tricky wallpaper (given the irregular shape of my walls) but her team of tradesmen were so skilled they have executed it faultlessly. We asked Katherine to help renovate our sitting room and study. She was brilliant at providing us with a range of ideas within our design inspirations. We asked Katherine to review the spaces and their everyday functionality for our growing family and hybrid working life. She designated specific floors and spaces for each member of the family - maximizing the space for each person and times relax, work, play and enjoy time together. She designated the largest room on the top floor for our two young sons. A space to play during the day and to sleep at bedtime. Custom joinery for storage, new wooden floors, a bunk bed and beautiful curtains. At the same time, she redesigned our master bedroom with custom joinery, a new bed, dressing table and cushions/curtains to pull it all together. Katherine's attention to detail is fantastic and she was always very attentive to ensuring that we were happy with the results as well as responding to any last minute changes we wanted to make. We are very happy with the results.

I have worked with Katherine for many years now and it's always been an absolute pleasure. I always love receiving pictures of her finished projects and seeing how beautifully they turn out. She has a keen eye for colour and her attention to detail is amazing so it's lovely watching her put schemes together using multiple materials, such as tiles, paints and fabrics. Katherine is one of the few interiors designers, that is always prepared and sources products well in advance for projects. This makes logistics (from a supplier's side), smooth and stress free and this is especially important when sourcing large quantities of tiles which have colour variation and need to be from one batch, such as natural marble. I sincerely hope to continue working with her in the future.

I am thrilled to write a review about the exceptional work of Katherine who at the beginning of this year undertook the big task of the complete redesign of our four bedrooms and four bathrooms country house. From start to finish, the service provided by her was nothing short of perfection. Katherine not only transformed our the entire house, but also expertly handled every aspect of the project, including sourcing materials, furniture, and soft furnishings, as well as executing excellent project management. At the very beginning, Katherine invested her time into the understanding of my preferences, lifestyle and vision and it quickly became evident that we share many views on the design so from that moment on it had become exceptionally easy to communicate and agree on the ideas. It is important to mention that Katherine has a great ability not only to see the overall style of the space but also she has an excellent attention to details. One highly valuable skill to mention here is that she never simply pushes for the top priced items but provides great advisory what it would be worth investing into and where the more value for money options would be more than sufficient. We made an ambitious plan of completing the project within 6 month and it had only been possible due to the super efficient project management that Katherine provided. It was important that at the end we will not have only design done to our liking but that also all communications like electricity and plumbing are done with the good quality which was the case for us, as Katherine recommended trade and phased and coordinated their work with sourcing of materials and furniture. As it usually turns out when redecorating the old houses, more items get on the agenda for redoing and refitting as you go and yet the project was done on time. As a result, we have the house redone on time, with the high standard, at a reasonable cost and exactly to our liking, and nothing of this could not be possible without Katherine. Excellent service throughout!

Advice and suggestions from Katherine and her team were great. She has managed to incorporate our existing furniture into new kitchen design and flooring. She has listened to our requirements and produced exactly what we needed. Thanks to Katherine we have now bespoke elements in our newly designed kitchen that nobody else will have. Even when there were little set backs she was there to sort the issues out. Cannot wish anything more from this very professional and local company.

The on going projects of our grade 2 listed house, two years ago we decided to redesign our kitchen dining room and needed someone who would listen to our ideas and make them happen, pomander interiors fit the bill perfectly, removing a wall and fitting a lovely new kitchen and hidden utility room, the project turned out better than we ever imagined, A year later we asked pomander back for a redesign of the living room and office space, Katherine’s eye for detail and furnishings is second to none and the new sofas carpets and paint look amazing. So you won’t be surprised that pomander are back for year 3 to redecorate the hallway and staircase with new carpet and paint befitting an old house, what’s next I wonder? For sure pomander interiors will be involved.

Katherine’s work is incredible. She designed our new layout for our living room and sourced all of the furniture and fittings. She has an incredible eye for detail and colours but at the same time blending that with our own design thoughts. We could not be more delighted with her work.

Katherine was very focused on understanding what I hoped to achieve. She had some great design ideas that challenged my default position of safe, neutral decor. She is very professional and completes all tasks on time. She is also very flexible. I trusted her judgement and enjoyed working with her very much to inject some life into my hallway.

This was my first renovation project and Katherine guided me throughout the whole process. I genuinely had no idea where to start. Her designs transformed my flat into a beautiful living space and she approached everything with a can-do attitude. She was thoroughly practical in organising the timing and the personnel and keeping a close eye on budget. But most of all I really valued her choices of fabrics and colours - she definitely kept me on track! And she carefully pre-selected ideas to show me knowing that I would be swamped by too much choice.

Katherine was fantastic. She was very attentive to what we wanted as our theme and feel like she did an incredible job picking out the wallpapers, paint colours and providing us with great ways to enhance the rooms.

We recently moved into a cottage style property built in 2009. The previous owner clearly enjoyed modern open plan fixtures and fittings but it was our wish to give it a more period feel by redistributing the existing space and adding character to it. Katherine quickly grasped what we were trying to do and, starting with our newly formed kitchen, helped and advised with flooring, worktops, paint for kitchen cabinets, and orangery. She brought samples to our home so that we could see them in our own light and situation. Moving on to our reformed lounge with it's inglenook fireplace she met us at the reclamation yard to advise us on brick colour and type, in addition to recommending a company specialising in stylish wood burners. Together we decided on a runner for the stairs and she was quick to bring a catalogue of carpets that met our needs perfectly. Lights, lampshades and soft furnishings were another important area for which for she had some good ideas, samples, and pointed us in the right direction. In many instances she also arranged purchase and installation of goods. Throughout the project we were very grateful for Katherine's knowledge, help and advice. Additionally, she is a very pleasant lady, responsive and decisive whilst at the same time understanding her customer's needs.

Katherine was originally contacted to help with the refurbishment of our ensuite bathroom which led to the downstairs cloakroom and shower room. She was full of ideas to help,us determine what we really wanted and was thoroughly professional throughout the project. We now have a luxurious ensuite bathroom and cloakroom and shower room. The whole project took longer than we anticipated and she supervised the project on occasions when we were not at home attending each day. We are grateful to her for helping to consolidate our vague ideas into marvellous projects. Without her advice we would not have achieved the luxurious look we have now.

Katherine was brilliant from the start to finish of two of my projects. She was happy to stick to the budget and made every effort to do so while still showing me a wide range of options for fabrics and soft furnishings. Katherine was also happy to consider my ideas and suggestions. I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Katherine is very approachable and easy to communicate with. We really like her recommendation of the wall colour, and very grateful that Katherine went back and forth on several issues. We did not always have the right feeling or judgement of how good a piece of furniture would fit the room because we are abroad when decorating the house, Katherine was helpful in general but could be firmer on certain things to correct the owner's misjudgement.

This is the second project Katherine has done for us. Having managed our kitchen renovations we asked her back to oversee the alterations to our lounge and study. Katherine is respectful of our style and takes it to the next level, sourcing ideas and products that we would never have thought of. She is always conscious of cost and is driven by quality which is not always synonymous with high prices. Whenever we can’t agree as a couple our go to position is to use Katherine’s recommendation.

Unquestionably erudite in the field. She took on board our ideas and augmented them to create a great end outcome with which we are both delighted. As a project manager she sourced reliable, polite skilled professionals in a timely fashion and at a fair price despite the current market forces. In summary she is very skilled, great to deal with and I had little or no stress from the work being done as we always felt in safe hands.

We’re part way through the refurbishment of a 20-year-old, 4-bedroom house using Katherine for design ideas and sourcing and are delighted with the progress and results so far. We needed advice to turn the tired, bland interior into a beautiful, calm and stylish home. Katherine has listened to what we wanted, understanding our style and budget, and has provided excellent design ideas and advice. She worked to incorporate features of the house and furniture that we wanted to retain, and brought in clever ideas to add the wow factor. So far Katherine has advised on colours for redecorating the house in beautiful soft greys and blues that flow from room to room, flooring (staining wooden floors, carpets and rugs), a replacement fireplace, plus designing and sourcing blinds, curtains and bespoke cushions, lighting and some furniture. Katherine has been a delight to work with and is helping us achieve the elegant home we hoped for.

Katherine's work was initially to design there new bathrooms. Her attention to detail on the designs and multiple options for each item to choose from meant we had a curated set of choices and didn't feel railroaded into anything. She then coordinated deliveries and answered our builder's questions very efficiently, especially considering she couldn't visit sure to covid rules at the time. We are very happy with the results and have asked to help us with redesigning or ground floor.

Having made the decision to make some renovations to our kitchen/utility room we contacted several interior design companies and pomander interiors was our first choice, Katherine was absolutely brilliant, she listened to our requirements and thoughts as we had some ideas but not sure how to go about it, she came back to us with her design boards and thought’s which took in our ideas and her own unique design input, after a few cups of tea and discussion we ended up with our beautiful new kitchen dining room and utility room, without her knowledge and contacts with builders and associated trades this project would not have happened as smoothly as it has, especially in the height of the covid epidemic. Katherine at Pomander Interiors has done a great job on my entrance hall and living room. Changing the colour of the walls, painting the stairs and adding colourful cushion and blinds. Which has given the property a warmth and it’s own identity without breaking the bank. She is now about to start the next stage in which we are introducing different colours and some crazy ideas, which has shown her diversity and ability to adopt to our needs. it’s been great fun choosing fabrics and colours and Katherine has endless patience and attention to detail which means I love seeing the rooms when finished.

Katherine was involved in our project in terms of design and project managing throughout where she was extremely helpful in terms of ideas and and worked very well in coordinating the different workforce. At times this required a detailed approach and careful planning which she organised very well and provided excellent communication during the project. i used Pomander interiors to make and install several curtains and blinds for our new home. Kathy was very good at providing advice on colour/fabrics/styles that worked with the existing decor but also fitted in with my personal taste. We ended up using a wide variety of fabrics: silks, cottons, linens and velvet. All the items were made to a very high standard with meticulous attention to detail. I also had a few items of furniture reupholstered in velvet and the end product was stunning. Would highly recommend

After 12 months of refurbishing my home I was stuck on how to complete the final area and finishing touches. Katherine was brilliant and helped me transform my conservatory into a stunning extension to my living space, without breaking the bank. She has great ideas and ability to source good quality but reasonably priced products.
