Cornwall Interior Architecture Duo Collaborating to Elevate Your Home
Studio Far West is an Interior Architecture and Design studio based in Cornwall founded by Jennie Trethewy and Hollie Milne. After successfully collaborating on several projects a mutual passion for the ever-changing natural surrounding landscape of the West Coast emerged and Studio Far West was established. Their combined skills and talent see them work across many sectors including private residences, hospitality, commercial and residential developments delivering truly bespoke design packages. Jennie specialises in Interior Architecture, FF&E and project management, Hollie in creative concept design, 3D visualisation and materiality. Jennie and Hollie’s design process and approach stems from their ability to collaborate on each project together, elevating and challenging the brief to strike the right balance between function, form, and style. Working together they build an in-depth design brief that reflects you, your personality and your lifestyle resulting in the creation of beautifully crafted multi-layered elegant interiors. In their view, designing Interiors is like telling the story of a person or a place.

Jennie is brilliant at understanding a client brief, and presenting options based on your budget. She has developed a range of 5* bedroom themes at The Headland, using a mix of our existing furniture that has been locally refurbished, along with introducing us to new sustainable suppliers that we were unaware of. She listens to our concerns and queries, and promptly responds with alternative viable suggestions, whilst also being confident enough to tell us when we are requesting something that simply wont work! I strongly recommend Jennie for both commercial and residential design work, and we are delighted to continue our ongoing relationship with her as we renovate our hotel.

Jennie and Hollie have been managing the renovation of our Coastguard Cottage in St Agnes. The scope includes design, coordination and project management to give a listed building a fresh lease of life and create a comfortable family home. Whilst the project is still underway we have been delighted with the way they have handled the project to date. They have developed some stunning designs and handled the appointment and liaison with local contractors incredibly well. We are looking forward to seeing the fruits of their labours and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone embarking on a similar renovation project of a listed building.

We engaged Studio Far West to project manage the complete refurbishment and extension to our cottage in St Agnes. The project was managed seamlessly, Hollie was able to liaise with contractors on site to ensure the project was moving along and finished to a high standard, this took much of the stress away as we weren’t in the county to oversee the project. The end result is a beautifully and tastefully renovated cottage with thoughtful design features and detail both internally and externally. To top it all off imagine our delight when Studio Far West’s design for our cottage was picked up and featured in 25 Beautiful Homes! I cannot recommend them enough!
