If you are thinking about working with Ellie, DO. Ellie was recommended to me by a friend and I wasn't even sure I needed an interior designer.... I had good taste... wrong. Ellie has added so much value to our renovation- floorplans & room layouts (suggesting changes with architect), tender process, builder selection & contract, electrical plans, all before we got to interior design (those were great too, with plenty of options & matching my style). She is very good value, practical - with good knowledge of building work, easily contactable and just a pleasure to deal with.

It was such a joy working with Wolf Grey. She was recommended to us by my best friend, who also had a house renovation led by her. Ellie’s taste, calm and clarity of thought was so critical when navigating this large house renovation, opening up our downstairs space to make a large family kitchen [new roof], two new bathrooms plus render and new windows for the entire house. She was centrally involved from day one, visiting the house and immediately having the vision that the focus of the house view needed to de re-directed from the street to the garden. She led the project design, building regulations and planning application with precision and speed. She was very regularly in attendance throughout the build and always available by telephone (we spoke daily throughout the project). She had excellent established professional working relationships with each tradesman employed, which minimised and quickly resolved unexpected issues. The result, only a year from conception, is well beyond our expectations. Our house in Eynsham is now a beautiful family home, that we regularly get complemented on. We are so grateful and could not recommend her more highly for a similar project.

Ellie was absolutely integral to the renovation of my victorian cottage. When I bought it I knew it was very a functional space but it had no soul as most of the period features had been stripped out. Ellie helped me think through how best to add some character back to make both beautiful and functional spaces. I would not have come up with many of the ideas Ellie did and her designs were to an exceptionally high standard and considered my tastes and pieces of furniture I wanted to keep. She easy to reach and responsive even when I was travelling with work and on a different time zone. She also managed all the trades people and the project seamlessly, bearing in mind my needs. This all made what could have been a stressful experience very easy and I would not hesitate to recommend Ellie to anyone thinking of starting a project. Most importantly the end result is totally fab !

Ellie was brilliant right from the very start. Unlike other designers, she was quick to offer a home visit (no strings attached) and won us over with how carefully she listened to our requirements and the amount of time and care she took on the very first visit. From there on, it has been an absolute pleasure working with her and her team. She paid great attention to detail, kept the work to the agreed budget, gave us plenty of options, steered us gently towards making the right choices and managed the entire project meticulously and methodically. She managed the suppliers and contractors and kept us informed all along. The end result is amazing and everyone who has seen her work so far has been complementary and full of praise. We would definitely want to work with Ellie on future projects and can recommend her wholeheartedly.

We started designing the interior for our new off-plan home, which we had only seen on paper. It was the first time I had worked with an interior designer, and I'm really happy that I chose Ellie from Wolf Grey, based on recommendations from my close family. She has truly exceeded our expectations and gone above and beyond what we initially asked for. Ellie provided us with 2D and 3D layouts, along with mood boards, which have given us a very clear vision of how our interior space would look even before we move in. She has been proactive throughout the process, going the extra mile by meeting with suppliers and agencies to finalize our choices for floor, kitchen, curtain, etc. She even convinced our builder to incorporate some of the latest design trends, which they were initially resistant to. I greatly relied on her expertise for every little question I had, and she patiently explained the reasoning and logic behind her designs, making me appreciate her work even more. I wholeheartedly recommend Ellie to anyone seeking an expert interior designer.

Ellie was integral to our renovation build. We had quite a complicated planning process (living in a conservation area and having a listed building adjacent), but Ellie navigated the systems for us and was a huge reason why our planning was accepted. Although we may have ended up with the extension that was planned, it would have definitely not have been as beautiful or as well executed without her input. Ellie's designs were to an exceptionally high standard, so thoughtful of our needs and tastes, and came up with so many ideas that my husband and I would never have thought of. She was very accessible, and went above and beyond for us throughout what was a difficult process in many respects! I felt in such good hands with Ellie, she made every part of our building work easier, we really couldn't have done it without her. It also helped that I adored everything that she came up with! She was also able to have difficult conservations with the contractors when needed, which meant I could keep a good relationship with the builders we used. I would not hesitate to recommend Ellie to anyone thinking of starting a project.

We worked with Ellie on a large extension project and she was amazing from start to finish. She supported us with design and planning permission, project managed the build and made excellent recommendations for decoration, lighting and furniture. Her trade discounts were really appreciated and everything she recommended for us was of a really good spec. She took all the stress out of the build with her experience and was on sight regularly to oversee progress. Ellie was always calm and found a solution to every issue that came up and we are so glad that she worked with us on the project. We would recommend Ellie 100% and would not have been able to do our work without her.

I took quite some time researching my preferred interior designer before settling upon Wolf Grey. And I’m extremely happy with my choice. The project has been a gradual refurbishment of my new home, starting with the entire ground floor. Ellie manages to strike that perfect balance between providing expert aesthetic and practical guidance, whilst allowing for one’s individual style to shine through. Best of all, she avoids design cliches and tactfully steers one away from one’s own dubious choices. Ellie has been prompt, patient, attentive and proactive throughout the process, and is a sheer delight to work with.
