“We hired Hellen Hsieh, the owner of Design Loft Company, to design our 725 sq ft great room addition. We are so incredibly thrilled with the completed project, it is exactly what we had envisioned. Our existing house was a 1200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The kitchen and living area was very modest. With two teenagers at home, we needed to expand and wanted more room to entertain. When we started the project we were uncertain if we should knock down walls and remodel the current floor plan and add a small addition or keep the footprint of the existing house exactly the same and add on one large great room. We decided to do the later, however, to get to this point, we went through several different renderings. Hellen provided us with many great options and helped us decide what would be the most economical and feasible plan. She was flexible, patient and was great about pointing out the pros and cons of each option. Her interactions with our architect , contractor and cabinet supplier went very smoothly which helped us to meet specific deadlines. Hellen was maticulous when it came to the kitchen cabinets and made sure everything was ordered properly and our custom stain came out exactly how we wanted. As a designer, she is very creative and knowledgeable. She understood the style and feel we were after. More importantly she was very conscious and respectful of our monetary constraints which helped us complete our entire project within budget. What impressed us most was her understanding of the build process: from the contractors needs, the city requirements, realistic costs and time estimates, appliance installation prerequisites and inspection requirements. We couldn't be more pleased with Design Loft and Hellen's professionalism.”

“No 2nd quote! Yes! I signed my first ADU contract with DH! Either Sam and his team are too good, or I am too blind trusting, and so far, I think it is the former. Sam took me to work sites, and had me meeting designer Shon, on phone with his manager, Idan. The team works very well together. I like that. Sam has the ability to remove all the doubts and questions I have, and he is a creative problem solver I did not mark a 5 star because we just started. Sometimes, Joey don't reply my text right away, I understand that everybody is busy, and I don't immediately reply everything either, and on issues gating the progress, Sam is very responsive. All in all, things look good.”

“I actually selected KDS from the Houzz website. Best decision ever! Kevin is very professional and was really able to bring our project to life, even better than I had envisioned it! He managed to squeeze in a good sized pantry, and here I thought I'd never get one! Kevin's website is very user friendly with a lot of before and after pics! He literally walked us through every step of the whole process helping and guiding us to make the right decisions and selections. Let me say this is a really tough and stressful process and ones always worries about making the wrong choice either in color, material or use of space. Kevin was always there to help guide us and the result is an area that we absolutely love and thoroughly enjoy!!! Kevin has a wonderful eye for color, use of space, and never tries to force his own taste on you but actually works with what you like and dislike! I can't recommend him highly enough. “Our recent home project included the complete remodeling of the kitchen, 3 bathrooms and wet bar. My husband and I decided on Level up home remodeling following our due diligence process (having interviewed multiple contractor candidates) given the prior reviews, competitive proposal, and positive impressions following our discussions with Issac. Issac estimated 3 months to complete the project beginning in August 2016, and although there were the unknown but expected bumps in the road along the way during the project, was able to complete the job on a timely basis. Both quality of workmanship and timely completion of the job was important to us, and Issac and his team delivered on both counts. Those working on our project were hard working competent individuals, punctual, courteous and easy to engage in conversation. Issac was at our site on a daily basis both overseeing the project and hands on with regards to any task. He and his team provided professional, thoughtful and viable options and resolutions to each situation/issue as they arose. We have used other contractors in the past, but Level up home remodeling outperformed all the predecessors. We are pleased with the results and would not hesitate in bringing back Issac team for other construction projects going forward.”

“We love our new bathroom! It turned out exactly as we had hoped and planned, and we wouldn't change a thing. All thanks go to Blues Brothers Construction, and especially to Onn. We've done several remodels and this was the most fun and satisfying. Like the other remodels, there were problems and mistakes to be dealt with along the way. The difference with this company is how they handled the issues. In every case, they listened to our concerns without defensiveness and insisted on doing it correctly without shortcuts. Several times, I indicated I would be satisfied with a less expensive workaround, but Onn assigned someone immediately to do it right or even worked the issue himself. This often resulted in something better than we had originally envisioned. The employees and independent contractors were all very pleasant to work with. The tile installer was especially skilled at his craft and went above and beyond in making sure the tile went in perfectly. In a few cases, the installers were not very familiar with the products they were installing, but they were very receptive to our suggestions or pointing out where something was going off track, so everything turned out great in the end. Onn has set up very effective processes for his company. Communication was excellent and the employees and contractors were all aware of the schedule, daily tasks and routines, and the design plan. All the employees were very engaged and seemed to like and respect their employer. Onn's plans were very detailed and made it very easy to iterate on the design and track the construction progress. The professionalism of their process was similar to much larger, more expensive firms but, instead of resulting in increased costs like the others, we think it improved their efficiency and held down costs. As they stated, They are not the cheapest or most expensive contractor, and we found that to be true. The quote was very fair but what set them apart is that the estimate didn't change at all through the design process except for some very small additions that we clearly added. And the same price and schedule held through the entire project, again except for a few small changes we requested. Onn suggested several design tweaks that all improved the final product but all were no cost items and or very minor charges where they clearly needed to order more expensive materials. This was a vastly different experience from other contractors who promised a range of cost but grossly inflated the price after detailing the design even though nothing changed. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blues Brothers Construction for any home remodel and will gladly go to them again for our future needs.”
