Traditional bespoke furniture recently completed the installation of a new kitchen and a tailor-made bar/display cabinet in Crowborough, East Sussex in a freshly built extension. Their service was exceptional from the outset. Throughout the planning phase, they accommodated our numerous design adjustments, and Jason provided us with a variety of samples for custom paint options. This was a service we couldn't find when consulting with a high-end kitchen retailer on the high street. We are very pleased that we went with TBF Throughout the installation, Jason paid meticulous attention to even the tiniest details and maintained excellent communication throughout. He collaborated seamlessly with my builder as building works were being completed (and delayed for other reasons). The praise from my builder speaks volumes about Jason's commitment to quality—the builder, with years of experience, remarked that he hadn't encountered such a superbly crafted kitchen fitting before. In fact, he saved Traditional Bespoke Furniture's contact information for future recommendations. I look forward to engaging TBF for future work, and would highly recommend the TBF team for anyone seeking a high quality, hassle free engagement :-) Thanks to jason and team.

Jason and his team did an excellent job making the bespoke furniture for our entire house. It was a massive job with 6 bedrooms, lounge, full wall to wall study joinery, dressing room with island, entrance hall units, dining room, bathroom, utility room and full kitchen and larder with appliances. I appreciated their attention to detail and clever suggestions. A lot of other companies that quoted were double the price and unprepared to offer a truly bespoke solution. Jason and his team were fully bespoke and I was able to specify all my requirements which they met. After care was excellent and everyone who comes to the house comments on how beautiful the joinery is and what good quality it is. My experience was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. This is the second time I have used them and I would again.

Started off well, finished very poor….. I’am a Carpenter of 30 years, have fitted hundreds of kitchens We done the normal looked around at many different kitchen companies, etc, TBF said all the right things, price was fair & the product looked good The process was ok, but when we had site visits Chris didn’t give us much confidence, didn’t seem very detailed in taking measurements, but went with it…. Well it all started to fall apart when I started to install our kitchen, didn’t fit had to order & pay for extra infill units, the ovens were way too high? then had to pay for new doors & alter the unit myself so the ovens would work? Paint finish was patchy, with finger marks! Wrong draw runners, draw fronts made incorrectly, so many end panels incorrect, never lined up (which I’am guessing a lot of clients wouldn’t notice) doors twisted uneven gaps around the doors……the list goes on etc etc Glad I fitted it, as there was lots of redesigning & bad manufacturing to overcome I do fill sorry for some clients of TBF as they probably don’t see/know what’s wrong Good luck all……

Comment from Traditional Bespoke Furniture:

There is always 2 sides to a story so I'd Like to address the issues witch i have already done privately.

The Project was booked months in advance to coincide with schedules and i was assured it would be ready, on arrival to measure it was not and the site was running behind we could not move the manufacture slot due to commitments with other clients so had no choice but to manufacture with the information i had.

As a carpenter with 30 years experience I would have thought you could follow a plan !, infills where allowed as a fridge was next to a wall and as stated the room was not ready. The ovens where fitted at a height due to a manifold being fitted behind witch was not yet installed and before we had a chance to look at it the client had altered the unit.
We took into consideration and replaced what he was not happy with free of charge.
The charges where made for extras that we felt where justified.
I'd also like to state that there was not loads of redesigning the plans always get sent out first for approval and signed off before we start manufacture.

It was Manufactured in February 2023 and was delivered only to be stored in a converted barn where the temperature was not consistent and it has been sitting there ever since, until it was fitted in December ! obviously i would never advise a bespoke wooden kitchen sit in an environment for months on end that was not ideal, it will move ! We would always advise that its fitted by us as we know our product inside out and in a reasonable time after manufacture and if stored in a stable environment.

There was a few things our apprentice did wrong he fitted the wrong runners and cut the TGV wrong but this was replaced free of charge and without hesitation and i apologised for the mistakes and inconvenience this may have caused.

As you can see we have many happy customers and pride ourselves on our product.

My kitchen is divine! TBF were able to deliver exactly what I wanted. A flexible approach to kitchen design, with good suggestions and options. Exceptional quality of workmanship at competitively lower prices than the bigger high street bespoke names. They were also able to source all our electrical appliances at a competitive price, saving delivery issues. I think I can safely say that they have never made so many drawers before for a kitchen (44!) Thanks Chris, Jason and the team (including an impressive 2 apprentices).

Thank-you Chris and Jason for a lovely kitchen. The design and build has been excellent and we are very happy with the result. The furniture is well built, great paint finish and Martin (the fitter) did a good job putting it all together. TBF have a great relationship with suppliers and got the worktops at a great price. These look great to with lovely plinths. TBF showed great flexibility making slight changes when fitting, despite our old house having uneven walls and floors. Martin stayed late on snagging day and didn't leave until everyone was happy. thanks again guys, we'll use you again and good luck.

I worked with Jason on our slightly unusual kitchen project (a mix of domestic and commercial requirements) to create a totally new kitchen which he took on board with a refreshing "can do" approach. His friendly, happy manner made the whole process an easy pleasure from design through to fit. Communication throughout regarding budget, timescales and design tweaks has been great and he didn't hesitate to visit us in the run up to fitting if he felt it was important. The end result is beautiful and of good quality and the couple of minor snags that needed to be put right have not been a problem. Thank you Jason and the rest of the TBF team

This is the fourth time I have used TBF and the service and product was as always, excellent. So far TBF have undertaken our Kitchen, Bathroom furniture, Fitted wardrobes and dressing unit and most recently some units either side of my fireplace. They always have great design suggestions and really understand our 'vision'. I would not hesitate to recommend them, the value for money compared to other companies means I don't even bother getting quotes from anywhere else anymore! Chris and Jason are a delight to deal with and I hope to work with them again on my loft conversion now I know they are offering build solutions as well!!

Traditional Bespoke Furniture was asked by me to design and fit a STUDY in a very large bedroom in my flat in Tunbridge Wells. The study was designed to include my computer and a large printer,with a book-case,4drawers,6 cupboards [including 2 holding 50 hanging files]and a pull-out drawer for the computer's key-board. The work-top is about 15 feet long and all the wood-work has excellent colour and finish. Once I had agreed the plans,everything went ahead very smoothly;the work was completed in August2016 and by the agreed date. I am very happyto strongly recommend this firm and their pleasant and efficient service

TBF built us a walk-in wardrobe, playroom television and storage unit and boot room storage. Chris was a delight to work with, listening to my ideas and translating them into excellent first drafts for the design. He was happy to incorporate ideas that I had, such as incorporating a haberdashery unit we bought into our wardrobes, and provided numerous draft designs as the project evolved. The quality of the work and build was excellent and any snags have been dealt with quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for bespoke joinery projects.

Jason and Chris designed and installed our kitchen in 2014. They proved themselves to be reliable and punctual with extensive knowledge. They were friendly and easily contactable at all times, true professionals. A kitchen is a large investment and it's important that the workmanship and design will last the test of time. Jason and Chris listened to our needs and wants, provided their own expert opinions and we achieved a fantastic result. Jason and Chris also built our wardrobes, they provided us with a polished finish to our bedroom and a lot more storage.

I absolutely love our kitchen which Chris and Jason installed in 2014. We've had it for almost two years and it looks as good as the day it was installed. I was nervous of painted kitchens as I cook a lot (and spill things down cupboard doors a lot!) but theirs are sprayed and very easy to clean. I believe they offer a re-spray service when the time comes for a change. Also the interiors are as robust and beautiful as the exteriors. I like to show off the insides too! Some shelves pull out which makes accessing items to the rear very convenient. We chose leathered granite and Dekton as our worktops which were sourced by TBF as were all our appliances including a WOLF rangetop. I am a perfectionist, so finding a truly bespoke company to bring together all my ideas was very important for me. TBF were just that and perfectionists too! I can't find one fault to share! I have recommended this company to so many people thinking of having new kitchens. I really believe it's hard to come by a company that are this great and sensibly priced these days and I believe these guys are real treasures in the world of bespoke kitchens and furniture.

They put up with me constantly showing them magazine clippings, pinterest boards and terrible sketches. Between us all we created a perfect kitchen which is a joy to spend time in for our family & friends. Traditional Bespoke Furniture designed and installed our new kitchen this summer and we literally couldn't be happier. We have our dream kitchen, which combines undoubted 'wow' factor with being the ultimate family, social room. The fusion of traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail with contemporary styling is perfect. From start to finish, the TBF team were a real pleasure to work with and nothing was too much trouble, they made frequent visits out to our house, were more than happy to make several revisions to our original plans and made some great suggestions as to what would work best, both in terms of the look of the kitchen but also functionality. Because the kitchen is bespoke, it is totally unique; we discussed every detail and every feature is designed to make the best use of the space available. It is a great entertaining space and the perfect family room.

We were recommended Traditional Bespoke Furniture by our builder when we started to have doubs about our original supplier. He had used TBF himself and we were really impressed with the quality and price once we carried out research. So, TBF built us a beautiful kitchen as part of a 1930's house extension/refurb. We wanted the design to take full advantage of our new open plan downstairs and to be designed around the view overlooking the garden and countryside beyond. TBF worked with the builder and architect to get the best possible layout in the space available, they sourced the appliances, and they coordinated with everyone involved to make sure that all the logistics of the project went like clockwork. We liked their choice of styles and colours of course and the fact we ended up with a kitchen tailored uniquely to us. The main reason we chose them though was the quality of the joinery - we're so pleased, not just with the build but also the paint finish which they went to great pains to get 100% perfect on site. We subsequently commissioned them to design and fit a dresser and then - after a break to save up more money - bookshelves and cupboards. We found them to be competitively priced because they don't have the overhead of shop premises but work from their workshop/studio a little off the beaten track.
