Alexandra Gray Garden Design

Alexandra came up with a wonderful planting design for my London garden. Two years later the space is now thriving and very happy. The plants, the colours, the shrubs, the grasses all blend beautifully and it is a joy to spend time out there. I would recommend Alex to anyone!

I am very pleased with the planting plans Alexandra did for me. Alexandra is very knowledgeable, professional and took time to understand what we want from the garden. She took note of my plant likes and dislikes which I was quite specific about, and brought everything together in a cohesive, comprehensive and pleasing design. Early days as it has only been planted for around 6 months but looking forward to an attractive and colourful garden this summer. Very pleased that we discovered Alexandra and engaged her to work on our garden plans.

Having recently completed a lifetime ambition to build our own home a key consideration for us was the garden design and the way the house interacts with the outside. We had a steeply sloping and wide back garden, with good views, and planting down each side. The aim was to make the slope easier to manage and to somehow join the various bits together. Alexandra came up with an excellent design for a level area halfway down the bank, which didn't distract from the view of the countryside from the house, which was another requirement. She organised all the construction, within our budget of £10,000. We found her very easy to work with and have been pleased with the result ever since.

Alex came and helped us landscape a garden in a flat complex. All she had on arrival was wonderful views and the back drop of some beautiful trees. She turned the garden into a beautiful, peaceful and harmonius place. Incorporating a lovely curved path for the residents to use at any age and with any mobility. She also created several seating areas with different views. Alex was a careful listener to our wishes and came up with a stunning planting plan. The garden today is painters palette . We could not wish for anything better. She even produced a small pond which delights us all. I will highly recommend Alex as pleasant thoughtful and very profesional garden designer.

We have a beautiful Georgian walled garden, with a drive and front paddock and Alex completely inspired us with our rather blank canvas. She was knowledge, had flair and really took our thoughts to heart. She drew up the plans for us very quickly and we slowly implemented them over the year. We are now 6 years down the road and the plants and specimens trees really were inspired. They have all thrived in their various positions and the new beds, hedging and walkways just look wonderful and we have had so much wonderful feedback from everyone who sees it. I cannot recommend Alex more highly.

Alexander Grey was in the process of designing the garden of Ormonde House at the time that we purchased our flat. Her design and its implementation have proved to be excellent and contribute enormously to the pleasure of living here. There is an annual Bath in Bloom competition here in Bath and our garden has won an award -- including the highest -- annually.

Alexandra Gray has helped us on many occasions with various garden projects. Her expertise and professionalism as a garden designer is exemplary.
