The reject was in two phases, phase 1 was the extension of the rear patio more than doubled, plus a secondary patio area to the rear (photo).
Whilst this work took place I discussed my aspirations for a major change to the frontage of the barn conversion, phase 2. Paul interpreted the requirements and delivered a solution against the objectives, that was to cost, timescale and most importantly of a high quality. (Photos attached)
The team at Butler Landscapes were professional, considerate and helpful through both phases of the project deployment. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will utilise them again in the future.

Butler Landscapes were commissioned to design and landscape the rear garden for our property. We were so impressed at the standard of the work that we increased the scope of the commission to the hard landscaping for the drive and parking areas and the front garden. Paul and Sharon designed our garden after spending time with us and listening to our requirements and making excellent suggestions especially regarding the types of plants and shrubs. They produced a detailed plan for us to keep and refer to.
They organised the skip, the workmen, the delivery of materials and the plants. The workers did a good job of laying the paving, the path and the lawn to the design and built the lovely pergola and pateo area. They were a friendly bunch and we had no hesitation in leaving them while we were away.
Paul regularly came to the site to keep an eye on progress and Sharon arranged the plants and shrubs with with an excellent eye.
Paul and Sharon then completed the job themselves by planting the flowers and painting the fencing and decking.
All in all they have transformed our garden into a beautiful place to be in, and friends and neighbours have all been impressed by the change. We have no doubt that the money we spent has been well worth it and has increased the price and desirability of our property.

Butler Landscapes completed a landscape project (building a terraced area, pathways and driveways, two raised beds as well as a small amount of planting) in our suburban garden in the summer of 2016. We had plans for a garden design drawn up before meeting Sharon and Paul - but these needed modifying in order to keep the project within the budget. Paul was very helpful in suggesting the elements of re-design that would keep the price down to what we could afford, and having giving us a price he stuck to it for the entirety of the work - no hidden extras, no last minute requests for extra money. Compared to past experiences it was an absolute joy! I felt that both Sharon and Paul listened to what we wanted, and didn't try and persuade us to have a design or style that we were not comfortable with, but did suggest modifications that would improve on the the practicalities or look of the design - and we were very happy with these suggestions.
The work itself was completed to a very high standard, the men working on the project worked hard and felt trustworthy, which was important to me as I was out at work for much of the time. The work did take longer to complete than initially anticipated, but this was largely due to the weather - which was not under Butler Landscapes' control. Paul ensured that all the loose ends were tied up before he asked for the final payment, coming back to the site a couple of times to ensure that all the last bits and pieces of work were finished. We are delighted with the end result and looking forward to enjoying it properly after the winter.

Commented: Best winter plantsI love Leucothoe scarletta mixed with a brown carex, plum heuchera, gaultheria & lamium in a pot. Looks great this time of year but also carries on looking good the whole year through.
