Gerbera Designs (Garden Design)

Joanne is very attentive, professional and knowledgeable. She listed to exactly what my preferences were and worked closely with the landscaper. I am very pleased with the whole process and Joanne provided the services from design to delivery and planting. I am looking forward to seeing the garden mature over the coming years.

Highly recommend Gerbera Designs. Having very little thought of what we wanted for a newly landscaped back garden Joanne was so helpful and designed a lovely plant layout. She undertook all planting with healthy, quality plants. We also received an after care plan for plant maintenance. Excellent communication and would use her services again.

Highly recommended. We worked with Gerbera Designs for a new garden. Being a new build, the garden was just grass and basic paving and we could never decide decide or agree what to do with it. From the very beginning to the final design and planting, everything in the process was clear and we knew in advance what to expect from each stage. Joanne from Gerbera provided lots of ideas and inputs and I can honestly say we could never have come up a final product as amazing as this. We would have made a lot of expensive mistakes if it hadn’t have been for Joanne working on all the details of the design. Gerbera Designs found landscapers and worked closely with them to handover the design and obtain quotes. The design and layout is great. We love the planting plan and now have a beautiful garden full of lots of of lovely plants that we can’t wait to see grow and develop over the next few years. If you are in the same position and don’t know what to do with your garden… I would seriously suggest engaging a designer and can definitely recommend Gerbera Designs.

I contacted Joanne from Gerbera Designs as I wanted to create a large border in my back garden. I’m not very knowledgeable so I was looking for plant suggestions as well as practical help. Joanne undertook an initial site visit and based on my budget we discussed my plant preferences and what would be most suitable for the soil and position of the border. Joanne then produced a mood board so that I could visualise the plan. She organised a contractor and ordered all the plants. At this point I asked her to provide some additional plants for another area of the garden and she was happy to provide this with an additional mood board. The work was completed promptly with Joanne undertaking all the planting. She provided me with a plan for care of my plants for the first year. Joanne was professional, knowledgeable, very approachable and was happy to adapt to the changes. The work remained within our agreed budget. I am delighted with my new borders and look forward to seeing them flourish

I got in contact with Joanne from Gerbera Designs through Houzz to help me with a planting design for my front garden. After an initial visit and discussion she came up with a design I was delighted with and within no time the plants were ordered and planted. Very pleased with the result and can't wait till Spring to see everything coming to life. Would definitely use Joanne again .

New to the area , after downsizing to a new build bungalow, internet research led me to Joanne. I am not a gardener and Joanne patiently devised a super garden design with detailed planting plan to meet my objectives of creating a lovely outside space. She organised everything: coming up with ideas to inform the design; sourcing plants; installing plants; liaising with the builder and also engaging with the right people to prepare the ground. She was extremely professional , yet friendly , in all our communications and has worked hard to bring my garden to life. I am very happy with the outcome.

We spoke to a couple of designers before deciding to go with Joanne for the garden of our new-build house and we were very happy we did. Joanne talked to us about what we wanted from the garden and came up with a design that met our needs and, as we were complete novice gardeners, she Took the time to explain each and every plant and what they would look like throughout the year. She also helped in organising the supply of plants and the setting out and planting - all at a reasonable cost.

Joanne helped to bring our garden project to life. We had completed all of the hard landscaping ourselves but had no idea where to start with choosing or positioning plants. We are really happy with the end result. Joanne was good value and very efficent.

Joanne from Ben Reid Aberdeen has provided priceless help and knowledge for the local school in creating a sensory garden. Without her the work would have taken years rather than months. She is a pleasure to know.

Gerbera designs did up my garden for me last year. I approached her after I had read an article she had written for the local paper on gardening. She visited me several times during the project, to discuss suitable designs, take measurements and the like. When we had agreed on a plan, she sent me several versions of the garden design until I was satisfied. She also designed a planting plan. She sent out quotes for the landscaper on my behalf and supervised their work. She also planted flowers and herbs for me and has been back to prune them ready for spring.
