What I like about Janet is that she just got it. She was singled minded, listened to me but also could envision what would work in the space - taking into account what i wanted she was able to steer me into plant choices I never would have considered but which were absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

We couldn't be happier with the work that Janet has carried out on our property. The rear garden and courtyard have been designed beautifully and sit sympathetically with our property. Janet is extremely professional, listened to our requirements and ideas, was incredibly knowledgable and has wonderful interpretation which has resulted in our dream garden which will will enjoy for many years to come.

Moving from a small London garden to a very challenging Surrey garden in 2016 we needed advice to create a kitchen garden on a steep slope with flower borders to complement a newly built contemporary home. We felt local expertise was a must and found Janet’s web page examples of garden design and planting to be worth a concept meeting. Janet then provided an initial plan and obtained quotations for the landscaping from established companies that we could make a decision on with the knowledge that Janet had worked with them previously. After discussions on materials and budget the scheme evolved beyond our expectations, we now have a meandering pathway from the house through the kitchen garden leading down to a magical secret circular seating area taking advantage of the view, the soft planting around the house has changed it’s whole aspect completely. Our plant knowledge wasn’t great but we knew what we liked and had firm ideas on color and maintenance, Janet translated this into a detailed planting plan with a wonderful collection suitable for position and soil that we can’t wait to discover, enjoy and cherish in the years to come. We asked Janet to quote to produce a design for our back garden after visiting her website and seeing examples of work she had done for previous clients. After meeting her for the first time, we instinctively knew we had made the right choice. Janet listened attentively to our requirements and offered advice and guidance where we were uncertain. She has a clear project workflow that was easy understand and detailed exactly what would happen at each stage of the process. There were a few review meetings through the process which enabled us to provide feedback and over this period, we were able to see our fairly random thoughts and ideas miraculously transformed into a beautiful and coherent design. Throughout, Janet was a real pleasure to work with. We never once felt ignored or pushed down a design path that we were unsure about and she was quick to answer any questions we had. Janet was also able to recommend a local landscape contractor to implement the design who did an incredible job for us. We now have a beautiful garden that we are able to enjoy and spend much more time in. We would recommend Janet to anyone in need of professional garden design expertise.

We had decided rather than to move and downsize , we would refresh and completely refurbish the inside of our house as we actually like where we live ! We had some minor thoughts on changes for the outside garden but soon realied that it was pointless having a lovely inside ...and a patched up outside So we decided to go for it and redesign the outside ! We had Janet come help draw up plans , tweak them ,polish them and turn them into real life for us We also had Janet run the proposal and bid process for our garden resculture and screen out the contractor from three. This is an important step to get best value for money and best contractor to work with ! That all worked very well We then had Janet and colleagues help design and select plants in detail and order them , organise delivery and then lay out for planting ! All in all very very happy with Janets services , flexibility , understanding and most importantly ...the outcome...we love our new outside !!

Janet has designed us a truly magical garden, that looks great all year round. She has a wonderful knowledge of plants, and excellent design ideas. From the beginning, and importantly for us, Janet was prepared to incorporate our ideas too, and make the whole thing work. we couldn't recommend her more highly!

We have been working with Janet over a two year period, as part of a large scale garden project. Janet is very easy to work with, being both approachable and professional. She has worked on an overall design for various phases of our garden project and detailed planting designs. Janet has taken on board our preferences and offered valuable advice and ideas for both hard and soft landscaping. She supported us to find good landscapers and produced all of the tender paperwork for us. Janet has worked closely with our landscapers, architect and carpenter to ensure a successful project. She has worked to suit timescales around our building work and hard landscaping. We have been very happy with Janet's work and her role in transforming our garden.
