Urban Gardener is an independent, Northamptonshire-based landscape design and construction service. We combine innovative construction techniques, expert plant knowledge and high-quality workmanship to ensure your green spaces maximise both space and functionality. Covering all aspects of garden design and construction, we specialise in living walls, balconies and indoor-outdoor gardens, we are a single-point landscape design and construction service. By taking on a landscape project, from conception through to completion, Urban Gardener carefully manages every stage of the process, including: client consultation, site survey, outline & detail design, planting scheme, project costing, and construction, ensuring we always meet your expectations. I cannot recommend The Urban Gardener highly enough! From the original consultation, the design phase and then the 3 weeks on site to completion, JT and Ian were professional, had awesome ideas, stuck to budget and have given us a garden that we absolutely love and can’t wait to have lots of family parties in (post covid!). I feel very happy to give a personal recommendation.

Would highly recommend, cannot fault the quality, commitment and attention to detail provided by JT & Iain from Urban Gardener. These guys worked tirelessly to deliver an absolutely stunning garden. The garden was a nightmare site with a steep incline, little room to work and very difficult angles. I wanted to include a number of features including setting, out door kitchen area, sunken fire-pit, pergola, raised planters and decking! All of these with a funky geometric design and complimentary minimalist easy to care for planting. Needless to say JT & Iain were not at all fazed by this jumping head on into the project and continuously going above and beyond to deliver a high quality finish. They really took a lot of pride in their work and were very easy and honest to work with throughout the project and kept us in the loop with progress and decisions that needed to be made. It's a big commitment trusting people with such a big project but I have no regrets and wouldn't hesitate to use again and recommend to others. Thank you very much guys!!

It was an absolute pleasure to work for you and your little girls never failed to make us laugh virtually on a daily basis!

I purchased a house which had a severely sloping garden which rendered it completely unusable and impractical. At a loss for a solution, I contacted JT (aka the Urban Gardener( and never looked back. JT came up with a solution involving sleepers, beautiful flower beds and a gorgeous patio and, 'voila', the garden was transformed into perfection. The house was bought as a buy-to-let purchase and, within one week, I had secured a tenant and one of the massive factors in securing the tenant was the beautifully finished garden. I cannot thank the Urban Gardener enough as he was friendly and professional throughout, worked long hours despite the adverse conditions and left the whole garden in pristine condition. Five stars all the way!!!

Just a brief note to say thank you so much for your efforts on our garden remodelling project. At the start we were impressed by your design ideas, especially the concept of embracing existing features and materials to minimise waste and cost. The finished product however, is to us a 'Work of Art' in construction and aesthetics, brought vividly to life by your imaginative plantings. Most amazing is that you have also managed to deliver within such a tight timescale and yet remained within budget. It really was an absolute pleasure to work with you on this project and I'm as pleased as you are with the end result. There were times when it was hammering down with rain and the deadline loomed ever closer that I thought we weren't going to pull it off, but I feel pretty confident in saying we all absolutely nailed it! I was only too happy to embrace the reusing of the paving slabs and I'm very pleased with how the introduction of the rumbled block paving in a contrasting colour has softened yet revitalised the otherwise dreary paving slabs. The curves were all your idea, I just brought it together for you and what stunning curves they are too. I really can't wait to see your garden mature and I will be back soon to follow that journey. Congratulations Steve and Caroline, your initial ideas have been transformed into a 'Work of Art'! All the best, JT

On the job, we found his work ethic, organisation and workmanship to be of the highest order. We are completely delighted with our evening patio area. Having enjoyed it for just a year now the shrubs in the raised beds have filled out the space and have started to provide some welcome colour for their second season. The barbecue and wooden furniture are recently uncovered ready for the first party of the year this weekend. Looking back at photographs of the work being done at the beginning of 2018 it is hard to remember not having this space in our garden. The design enhanced our own ideas and workmanship both on and around the site was extremely high quality and professional. We can totally recommend Urban Gardener. Its been a great experience all the way through.
