“We didn't end up hiring John Canty, but we probably should have! Our house is in need of a full gut job. John was very helpful and knowledgeable when he came in to look at our house. We ended up hiring another contractor, who we have since fired, because he worked with a friend a friend of ours. We should have known that you need to mesh with your GC and create good communication lines with them -- we learned quickly that just because a GC worked well with someone you know, it doesn't mean they'll work well with you! John was very upfront and honest about the costs and quality of the job we'd get, and we should have trusted our gut instinct to hire him! It's been 4 months and we're still waiting to get started on our house.”

“I chose Kitchensmith for my kitchen remodel because my mother and my sister had such good experiences working with Chad Smith for projects of their own and found him enjoyable to work with. Chad worked for another company before starting his own Cabinetry and Design company and that's where we initially met him. It's wonderful to see him and his wife, Meera, with their own beautiful showroom now. Working with Chad was so easy - he knows his products and has an eye for design. When he initially came to our home to talk about our ideas and scope out our existing kitchen he was able "to see" what would work for us and made suggestions based on his knowledge and experiences taking into consideration what we hoped to have and what we could afford. He was ALWAYS available for questions whether by phone or e-mail and had a very hands on approach with any questions or problems that arose. I attributed that to his background of starting in this field as a carpenter with his dad and working from the ground up. He wants things done right. I think the best thing I could say about my kitchen remodel was that I felt like Chad and I were working together to have the best outcome possible. I love my kitchen and would recommend Kitchensmith to my friends.”

“I asked Dan Martin and his team at Goguen Construction to design a plan to build an in-law apartment above my garage and over my kitchen and bathroom area. This area will consist of a living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. I also wanted to make some changes to my existing rooms in my house. This would include adding a master bedroom and bath and a walk-in closet. They listened to my concerns and worked with me to create the perfect plan for me. Dan was willing to come to the office and meet with me after working a full day to go over all the plans. Even after the plans were complete I had asked about moving one of the bedrooms to where the living room was going to be. Dan was very accommodating and reworked the design for me without hesitation. Brenda Hancock is their Kitchen and Bath Designer. She is incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with and will make your living space a dream come true. She came up with great suggestions and ideas that I would have never thought of. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and efficient nature of his team. Their work on this design exceeded my expectations on all levels. It was a pleasure working with their team and I would highly recommend Goguen Construction to anyone that is looking to build or remodel their home.”
