H&M Structural Engineers is a firm offering professional structural design services to clients in the residential sector mainly in Hertfordshire and London. We are especially experienced in renovation projects, extensions and loft conversions. We provide economical and practical structural solutions to any architectural requirements and generate structural drawings and calculations for completion of the building control requirements. Our aim is to make the design process as fluent, safe and efficient as possible. We engage fully with each project from conception to completion in order to arrive at a sound structural solution that meets the client’s requirements.

I am doing an extension, refurbishment and loft conversion of my house in London. I was not satisfied with the results from the first structural engineer so I searched for another structural engineer for the job. After considerable searching I came across H&M Structural Engineers. They had good reviews and considerable experience. I was more than satisfied with the neat structural design produced by H&M Structural Engineers. The work was done to the agreed timeframe.

I have asked H&M Structural Engineers to provide me drawings and calculations for a steam beam that will be put in place of a load-bearing wall. They responded to all of my questions quickly and came for a site visit the following day. They were punctual and efficient on the site and gave me some useful advice as well. I received the drawings and calculations less then 48 hours later. I highly recommend them. They are very professional and their fees are very reasonable.

H&M Structural Engineers has been a breath of fresh air to work with. I worked with them on the design of 2 contemporary houses in Hertfordshire (approximate value of £1. 4M each) which used unconventional structural methods (to the UK), but H&M was able to deal with all the complications with professional ease and efficiency. Nothing seemed too much to accommodate, calculate or adapt. Very flexible approach to providing the appropriate solution and getting it right. Very pleased with the outcome. I would definitely recommend them.
