Alex Cattell Upholstery

Alex is an upholsterer with a passion for restoring and revitalising old furniture. Whether a chair needs a complete rebuild or simply re-covering she is committed to exploring your ideas and style to create the perfect piece of furniture for your home. Alex operates from a workshop in the heart of Hackney, East London. Having trained with The Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) Alex went on to work for various London based upholsterers before opening her own workshop in Hackney, East London. She studied Art and Design at University and spent several years working in a major London art gallery before deciding to train as an upholsterer and reengage with her love of design, crafts and “making things’.
