“My wife and I own a small house in Logan Square, which has had old asbestos shingle siding since we bought it in 2011. We also wanted to replace our front windows, which were old and drafty. We received many bids, but the Siding and Windows Group was the standout. Bart (who coordinated the project) was incredibly helpful and explained a lot of ideas and prices without any "hard sell." The pricing of Siding and Windows Group was competitive, and their customer service is INCREDIBLE. The two workers who installed the windows and siding were polite, efficient, and did very good work. The difference between Siding and Windows Group and other contractors is night-and-day. Greg (the owner) came to the house several times to check on the project and check in with me (and this was not a large project, he is just very attentive and makes sure the job is done right). “After researching and meeting with quite a few contractors, we went with FB Construction, and I'm so happy we did. They were the perfect mix of professional and personal, and I feel like I was working with family in the best way possible. As this was our first experience in home renovation, I was ready for some minor disasters. There were none. “Mr. Roof and Remodeling..the best in business!! They are thoroughly professional and attentive. Our patio door and windows were installed not only quickly but efficiently. The crew cleaned every bit before leaving. After almost a year, we had a minor crack in one of our windows (maybe due to the harsh cold) and without any hassle, they agreed to replace the entire thing. I was expecting a lot of a explaining the issue and calls, etc. but they just said that they would fix it promptly.”

“Depending on how you count, this was either the fourth or fifth project LaPelusa has done for me. The most recent was a new roof with skylights, fascia & gutters, before that was a bath reno, before that was a bathroom, a kitchen and another bathroom. My projects are always a bit tricky because I have a decided point of view that isn't necessarily easy to construct. In this case, I wanted the shafts of the skylight to abut the wall without any trim or ledge because I wanted the light to wash down the wall without a shadow. Tony was the contractor and always figures out a way to make what I want happen. His crew is professional--they treat me well, they are neat about their work, they are efficient. And I'm crazy about the result.”

“Our nearly 20-year old patio door shattered in one of the coldest Februarys ever and needed to be replaced. Within a day or so of calling Scientific Home Services Jon came out to give us a quote. He was friendly and professional and his quote was comparable to one from a big box store but for a high quality Soft-lite door. Jon said it would be about 6-8 weeks for the manufacturer to get the door to him (big box store had the same lead time) but the door thankfully came in only 4 weeks! The front office was quick to schedule our installation and it was flawless. Damian and his partner arrived on time and worked quickly. They covered all the furniture, TV, floors, etc. before beginning their work and they left the room clean and undamaged. Damian was professional and polite and most importantly experienced with the installation. The interior wood trim and exterior aluminum trim frame out the new door well and the insulation that they added will help conserve energy. Damian also gave me a demo of the door and answered my questions before leaving. I highly recommend this company. They warranty their products and workmanship.”
