Paint finish for woodwork
Comments (21)I've just done all my skirts/arch's etc in an eggshell (non oil) as I can't face re-painting them every few months! The oil ones (as much as I prefer the finish and wear) yellow v quickly in darker areas and do you really want to keep painting them? I used an oil based for tinted colours though on my doors. Johnsons quick dry satin 'one coat' wasn't good. It should say '10 coats' as it just doesn't give depth. However I've been using their trade paint Leyland eggshell white and that is really good. You can use a small foam roller though to avoid brush marks...See MoreDo I paint the woodwork white gloss or match to my walls??

Comments (0)Hi all. i used to go to Vegas quite a bit when I lived in California. stayed at the Palazzo which always had large suites only rooms. I noticed they have now upgraded paint on wall, ceiling and woodwork to A more calmer beautiful white grey blend colour. I would love to recreate the paint colour for my bedroom (dado rails and all), but I have tried a light grey paint (complete guess) but it’s come up very different for me, far too blue for my bedroom, I guess if I painting my ceiling and my door with complementary colours it may help, but still, I want the exact new Palazzo room;) Anyone in the know what the new paint wall/ceiling/door colours could be, I even called the hotel but was run around in circles (I mean how can they not know what they used to paint 3000 rooms in LOL). Thanks everyone and hope you agree that its now so much nicer. Old New...See MorePaint for walls and woodwork
Comments (8)You could go bold with Susie Watson Egyptian blue and bring in more of the ”red“ accents, perhaps changing the yellow throw, or I assume the 2nd pic is duck egg. Or do you want neutral? if so I think the colours you suggested would work. I’m not sure re the wisteria wallpaper, only as I’m not keen on the pattern repeat, maybe a modern chinoiserie if you want a feature wall? i do think panelling behind the bed could work though and bring in more pattern with ikat lampshades etc...See More- last yearlast modified: last year
