fabric for drapes?

Hi - very pretty!
Is the fabric used for window treatments here from travers? I think I am looking at something similar from them

Hello, and thank you!

The fabric is from GP&J Baker, part of the Crayford Collection and it is called Persian Pomegranate, the colourway is Sienna, Olive and Mauve BP10464.2, it really is a beautiful 100% Linen fabric.

We are able to order it for you depending on your location.

i would leave the hearth tiles, even if they are cracked. or get an expert restorer in if you have the budget. if you really can't stand it - build fitted cupboards the whole length of the wall to hide it. it would be vandalism to get rid, in my opinion... i have white church candles in the fire basket of mine, which looks nice. a friend with one similar to yours went for stripped floorboards, a black and gold chinese rug, black and gold sari fabric drapes and cream walls. stunning! clean the mantle [i think it is slate] with linseed oil. those side tiles do match, don't they? isn't it just the lighting making them different?

Hi, I do love these curved crittall windows and agree that they deserve to be shown off. As Jonathan suggests, a privacy film applied to the lower half would work well for daytime purposes. Whilst I understand your reluctance for curtains I also know these windows are almost always single glazed and will often allow a lot of cold air in and have problems with condensation. Curtains would definitely help keep your heating bills down and can follow the lovely curve of the window in a way that blinds never will. The key is to select curtains that pick up on the deco, horizontal stripes in the window itself. This will help play up and compliment the architecture elements rather than just cover it. Colour block ones like these attached would work well, especially with the 20's colour palette. I think in your case it would be nice to have a single large panel curtain that when open sits to the left hand side of the window so the curved part to the left doesnt get hidden.

Two things to add... Ikea hacks is a good place to start but don't be afraid to add in a few extra little bits in pieces, there are so many board processing facilities around that would make this easier.
