As Sarah said. However if you could stretch the budget and get a plasterer to get rid of the stipple effect walls as well by skimming the walls it would look so much better. Plasterers charge £250 - £400 a day, depending on where you live.

If the plugs are too tight to easily remove it often helps to put a small screw back in with just a few turns to give yourself something to grip on to with pliers. However, if you are nervous that the cracked plaster is too fragile for that, or a nail punch - I would simply cut the top of the plugs out using a sharp utility knife and fill over.

Thanks, Sarah! That could work for the painted plain lower walls if they aren't too bad. I also need a slightly textured one for ceilings that are really wonky 🤣 Can anyone suggest one that not too offensive? Pattern wise 🙈

It is more of a blue green, we added some Onyx to the mix to darken it up. The photo was taken in full sun so it looks much brighter,
