This product is a dried natural stone in a gravel form mixed with a clear uv stable polyurethane binder and trowel applied to the prepared and primed substrate.

netschwester. Thank you for your lovely comments. I used 2 coats of a good primer/undercoat that didn't need any sanding beforehand.The dresser was a very dark wood with a very shiny lacquer and it covered really well. I then used 2 coats of Colortrend Satinwood paint in Ice House and Milk Teeth. I got the glass knobs online for a great price (12 for €20). I'm delighted with the result and everyohe else seems to like it too. Good luck with your piece. Once you get started you'll enjoy it and the finished article will give a great sense of satisfaction. Speaking to a customer recently, I was asking her what she felt made a bathroom special. Her response was an unusual one: "incense" she said. She went on to explain that the 1 thing she couldn't live without in her bathroom was the calming smell of incense. Even the most luxurious bathroom would seem dull to her if no incense was burning. So this begs the question. How many other people regularly have incense burning in their bathroom? I later thought, the one thing I can't live without in the bathroom is music (usually from my iPhone). Just out of interest, what can't you live without while doing your bathroom routine?

Hi Gina This is almost definitely sandstone. Yorkshire sandstone is quite yellowy beige so could well be from a local quarry. There are dozens in Yorkshire. Are you looking to reproduce it or just for the history. Do your deeds have the architects name or builder's name. It looks in keeping with the original build. There are Arts and Crafts houses by designers such as Edgar Wood around West Yorks with similar looks. Banney Royd in Huddersfield is a good example. Open to public now I think.
