Need your help with two living rooms

I have a living room completely empty with a gold mirror placed on the wall with a lights solid wooden floor with two four foot windows to front. In the other living room I have a black marble fireplace with a solid dark wooden floor with two four foot wide windows. I need complete inspiration.

A Roman blind is a good idea or curtains that hang outside of the window recess when open to allow maximum light to pour in. Whichever you choose, make sure they are hung high near the ceiling to make the ceiling feel higher up. What do you use the conservatory for? Is the door in the second photo the main entrance into the room? Would the table fit comfortably nearer the window end of the room instead? Then the sofa could go to the other end of the space - not sure if it fits. It's hard to see how the layout works from the photos and without the measurements or a floor plan. Alternatively, would the sofa fit it you turned it so that it faces the centre of the room rather than the window? I'd hang the seaweed mirror above the sideboard or behind the sofa (depending on final layout) and change the floor lamp to one which reaches over into the living space. Also, you need a much larger rug for the living space. The mirror and art are hung too high at the moment. After the layout is decided then you can think about maybe using wallpaper on one wall. Hi mrsr71 Although you have said that you need everything pushed to the outside of the room, it looks sparse, if you bring your furniture in slightly this wont block any access just ensure you have sufficient space to pass around. Move your sofa which is located in the alcove out and have it next to the door (if it fits). You could then have a sideboard placed there which you can dress up with lighting and accessories. Your current rug is slightly too small, but see how it looks when you have the sofa next to it. Thank you for your response. We had plans pretty finalised until we found out that we can keep just that long wall into the large space as it is a load-bearing. There is an opportunity to put a door in though. I am attaching what it looked like with all the walls that we can now remove. We have also been tinkering with ideas which I am adding as well. I added some comments on the plans as well. What we want to have is a dining area with a large table that seats 8-10 people. We want enough space for two people to work and cook in the kitchen. Thus, we were thinking of an island or an L-shape workspace coming out. We'd like to have a utility room to have space for all the cleaning utensils. Washer and Dryer will be upstairs in a separate laundry room. The living room is nothing formal but an area to relax and watch TV. We'd like to have an L-shaped cough in there for a family of four (2 kids under the age of 10).

Don't go for all grey. Youve got some lovely colours in the stained glass in the windows (green, purple, red). Use them to make a really distinctive room which respects the period of your home. It's a lovely well proportioned room and it can take some colour.
