Who is the supplier of the curved glass balustrade?

We are planning a similar glass balustrade for our house on the Kent coast and would really appreciate knowing who supplied yours as not many manufacturers seem to be able to cope with the curves. Many thanks!

Hi there and thanks for your enquiry. The staircases were provided by Spiral UK and I believe they can also create the curved glass balustrade as well.

Hi I would put a planted green screen of a nice flowering hedge which also has berries in the winter like Berberis. It will give you privacy and its not totally solid as a fence or wall would be and will give a much softer look. It also gives security as it has small prickly barbs You say your window sills are too narrow to take window boxes so why not put a nice long wrought iron planter under the full width of the window, attach to the wall, (It looks like the windows are quite low) or if not put a free standing planter under the window. I would not get rid of the front lawn and just have concrete slabs as you already have all the drive paved, it will just look like to much concrete and harsh unless you add some plants or create maybe a circular flower bed Too much concrete prevents good drainage too Adding a porch would be a great idea, perhaps just glass which will give a modern contemporary feel Also once you have changed that paint colour it will look a lot better

This is simple. You either get a bifold window or you get a bifold door with an addition glazed barrier. The door would be my preferred option as you don’t have any framing at eye level when sat down, you can have a frameless glass balustrade inside or outside depending on if you have space in the room to accommodate inward folding doors, personally I prefer the door to be on the inside as I think it makes opening and cleaning easier.

Curved glass costs an arm and a leg. I quoted for a bay window with curved glass, wow the price from the supplier was huge. Needless to say the customer didn’t go ahead. It was a listed property so had to replace existing. Existing stayed! We have a regular supplier here in the Midlands but I can’t help with your area. Is there a local stair or building contractor that’s local who could advise you?

Hi Morsenet - in that case I would highly recommend Karen from OnePlan. I was in the exact same position as you, had tried what I thought was every version possible but deep down I wasn’t happy. Spending the money (small amount in context) with Karen made me and my partner confident and happy with the design. She respected what we’d done already and gave us a fresh perspective combined with her years of knowledge, it was a easy process. I’d already massively overspent on the budget by this point so spending additional money was a hard pill to swallow but actually it was invaluable and saved us money down the line from mistakes we would have made (or worse ripping this kitchen out and doing it again!).
