Espresso maker or coffee machine?
Comments (16)We have Lemon & Ginger tea early first thing but a leisurely coffee with breakfast. Recently bought a Dulce Gusto machine and use the pods. So easy and clean, love it. His fave is an Americano, mine is a long Cortado (I know, a contradiction)! The Melody III manual version allows you a bit of personalisation, and looks so cute, pic here, http://www.pinterest.com/pin/243194448603462895/...See MoreCharity coffee table turned into a bedroom bench.
Comments (16)I'm hoping to start a new bedroom scheme soon upcycling some old pieces and your project is an inspiration....See MoreDo you like your neighbourhood?
Comments (23)We are blessed to live in the best neighbourhood and it's not because of the town, the amenities, the view, the shops, the transport links and everything else people have mentioned....it's because of our neighbours. We are several households with ages between 26 and 50, some with children (aged 4-23), others don't, we cover a range of professions and interests from sheep rearing to blogging to sausage making, horse riding and cycling. We have monthly get togethers that include curry nights, bbqs and games nights, some of us go on holiday together, others go camping and there's a brewery tour and beer festival every couple of months. We spend hours at a time chatting in the street after work and believe me when I say the men are worse than the women at this! We have a Christmas party every year and support a local school on quiz night. The pudding bake offs are reaching "legendary"status. The kids hangout together in their relevant age groups, I now have a surrogate son and daughter! But even with all of the above its not like we live in each other's pocket, we all do our own thing but we know that we can knock on a door if we need anything. When we went to Australia for 5 weeks at Christmas, leaving my 19 year old daughter to look after the dogs and house I could do it knowing that if she needed anything, just anything she could knock at 44, they even put themselves on the dog walking roster! Forget everything else, without great neighbours the rest of it doesn't mean a thing!...See MoreFood shopping - online or in store?
Comments (13)Being disabled I find being able to do my weekly shop online invaluable. I used to use this service when I lived in a busy built up area, and found that it was just as cheap as shopping in town by the time you'd paid for parking. Now that I live in the countryside, I find it even more cost, and time effective, as it's an 8 mile journey to the nearest town. My husband then does a run once a week into town to pick up odd bits from Aldi as unfortunately they don't do an online food shopping service as yet. It is VERY rare to have a problem with short dates, or out of stock items, as there is a facility when shopping where you can indicate what you would like as a replacement should your item not be available. You can also request how ripe or otherwise you would like fruit and vegetables, so I really can't understand why you would want or need to shop in store anymore....See MoreBarret
