Love the vanity! What is the walnut finished with?

I know it is "natural" walnut but I'd like to know what product it was finished with. Is it a semi-gloss?

It was sealed with a polyurethane semi gloss finish. Not sure exactly what the exact product name was.

Hi. The bathroom is looking good! I'm also not convinced by the praticalities of the shelf as the bath also looks quite close to the ŵall so you may bang your head etc? I would paint the bath ŵall in a dark or rich colour and then add a really large frameless mirror. I'd add a wooden stool with a little tray for toiletries and either an orchid or small plant (similar to pic). I'd go for a round wooden mirror over the sink. Do you have a central light? Something in keeping with the spa type feel would look great particularly reflected by the mirror.

Hi there, I would check out West Elm (they have two stores in London/Kingston but have a lovely website depending on where you are based). Their focus in very mid-century modern which would complement this space well as many of the wood finishes they use in their pieces are walnut. I would go for a round table here. Consider a rug under the table to brighten the space (there are great indoor-outdoor options that are easy to maintain under a dining table). Upholstered chairs rather than wood chairs may help to break up the dark wood feel. If your budget will allow, using a bright white paint or even an easy neutral light grey (cornforth white from F&B as an example) will brighten this space and give it a bit more of a fresh and modern feel. Some roman blinds on the windows would also give the space a finished look. I hope this was helpful! Good luck!

Hi Neha, thanks a lot! With regards to the floor you are right I will need to wait for the extension, because I wanted to put the ceramic floor that looks like wood, but then we would definitely need the underfloor heating in the kitchen. But if the underfloor heating makes everything too expensive and too long then we would put wooden floor and in that case we might match the whole thing on the whole ground floor. I definitely want the hallway and kitchen to match as you can see the kitchen from the entrance, whether as the sitting room is on the right after a few steps in, and I could always put a brass threshold to split the colours. I guess I will have to suck it up and live with the floor and table not matching for a while (the table is coming in 6 weeks and is the only finish I could agree without me and my husband biting each other's heads off! haha).
