Georgian apartment kitchen cupboards colour dilemma

Just bought Georgian apartment to rent out as corporate/holiday lets. The dilemma is as the living room is open plan what colour to have the kitchen cupboard/worktops. The main living room will be painted a very pale grey with white dado rails and white fire surround. I would like to use a faux brick wall on the wall the kitchen units will be up against. An island unit/ breakfast bar will be used to separate the living room from the kitchen. So any ideas for the colour of the kitchen cupboards would be a huge help..need to order them soon..
