Need help choosing living room lighting
Comments (2)You could have 6 or 8 spotlights around the edge and one centre light but the problem with a centre light is finding the perfect one! It also depends on if you house is modern then just go for the spotlight or if you pr house is old then go for one chandelier or a perfect light! Hope this helps x...See MoreNeed help choosing colour for feature wall in kitchen/dining room
Comments (9)I love this colour but think that you won't notice the dark kitchen cabinets. To make your existing furniture stand out I think you need contrast. I think the earlier suggestion of orange is fun but to include the Brinjal I would paint the walls green and then add pops of the brinjal. Perhaps if you get some light picture frame add a border of brinjal to give them more presence. Alternatively hang inexpensive canvasses - I would choose three long thin ones and paint one and either wall paper in a similar colour or staple on fabric to add pattern....See MorePlease help choose wall colour for living room?
Comments (7)Well it looks like a nice bright room so I guess you have so many choices it can get overwhelming. For wallpapers I can recommend John Lewis's own especially if you don't want to spend a lot. We've just done a feature wall in a bedroom and it was good quality stuff. http://m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/browse/home-garden/wallpapers/wallpapers/view-all-wallpapers/john-lewis/_/N-d0eZ1z141il?intcmp=home_cat_wallpapers_lhn_featuredbrands_jl_180915 I guess with a new build you can go for any style. If you like the mustard yellow (I do) there are lots of papers which could tie in to it. Would probably be too much as a solid colour wall. II'm sure others will come along with some better ideas......See MoreNeed help for living room colour planning
Comments (12)Hi Tripti, Sorry, can't open your link with wallpapers. This is one of my recent projects. Maybe it will inspire you (photos are not yet professional I'm still decorating). We sticked to the grey furniture in the living room. You can find a tv unit that matches your sofa colour it would be a good balance. the light on this pic is wrong, the unit is the same colour as the coffee table Also, I found some Kelly Hoppen interiors with grey and gold colours As you can see from the pic she made a grey front wall (which is stone here), grey unit, gold decor. It looks very luxurious. For your interior add some gold decor in the room, it can be a gold frame, vase, candles. ___ Or you can go for a beige unit. In this case you need to consider one thing, a unit needs to be balanced with something also beige in the room. Let say a chair, sofa tables, ottoman, cushions, curtains, small decor. as you can see from the pic beige colour fits really good with gold. Hope this 2 ideas can help you. Anna...See Morecharleee
