Comments (0)Modern design for Residential pool with water fall, Wood and concrete as construction material for pool and deck and natural rock can also work. I like to get your comment about the design and what you think about it in general and this is just a preliminary design so is adjustable! Comments (127)Another vote for Dekton and Sileston Quartz worktops, use them all the time in our projects as so much more forgiving and low maintenance than granite or marble. Agree that Corian is a good option if you have a large island to prevent visible joins, whilst it has other benefits you do need to be very careful when it comes to heat. Vast range of colours and textures in all types nowadays so the type of material shouldn't limit the effect you want to achieve - be that traditional or contemporary. I am always a big advocate that a worktop is an investment, there is no point spending a large sum on a beautiful quality kitchen and then finishing it off with a worktop that won't stand up to time as well as the rest of the room or cheapen the look - I always recommend to go for the best you can afford....See MoreWhat is the best type of decking for a roof terrace
Comments (3)We’ve been doing a new part the garden ( had trees removed ) this summer and we have been looking at various types of decking ... Trex and Millboard have been the most expensive both around £7000 for 52m some suppliers haven’t come back to me ( given then a month to do so ) some places like B&Q had a lovely display of a taupe one I liked but none in stock or available to order ... the result is that we are probably going with either yellow Balu hardwood ( as have that elsewhere so it least it will match ) or softwood if I can get one that’s flat . The hardwood is about £3000 and the softwood seems to be coming in about half of that. Hope that helps a bit ??...See MoreBest but not most costly bench around belfast sink
Comments (7)I agree with @Daisy England regarding drainer grooves are not necessary, in fact the amount of fall is so minimal and so little water drains away you might find having the extra worktop space is more useful, there are worktop drainer boards https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/reginox-ceramic-belfast-sink-kitchen-drainer you can get instead which may be more practical. Adding drainer grooves to wooden worktops may invalidate the guarentee so check the small print, you have solid surfaces like mistral, minerva which are solid all the through, but they can/do scratch quite easily (es[ecially the black/dark colours), solid laminates worktops but these usually have a black core so if you add drainer grooves you lose the worktop pattern. If budget can stretch quartz/granite would be a preferable option and just put a tea towel down on the worktop to soak up the water....See Morephotochar
