Curtains/blinds help for back doors help!
Comments (6)I've been thinking about different ways i could dress my sliding doors, and i'm thinking it might be nice to go for something quite interesting rather than purely practical. So you could get some hooks or door knobs/handles or something similar that you could screw in either side, and tie a nice thick rope going across. Then you could slot through a sheer or soft style curtain and tie up with some pretty ribbon. I couldn't quite find a photo to illustrate but this is sort of similar. Hope this helps!...See MoreHelp with curtains/blinds for a difficult, dorma style bedroom window
Comments (2)Hi Lisa, I completely understand your dilemma, I'm moving house soon and have exactly the same type of window as you. My suggestion would be to have a Voile roller blind, as I know that you said you don't like Voile curtains. This would be a great way of keeping your privacy in the room, whilst still allowing plenty of light into your room. I'd then pair this with Dorma Window Curtain Poles (the would be to the side of the recess rather than within). I've attached images of both of my suggestions below. This may be one of the better options if you're looking at trying not to lose too much light from your room. I hope my suggestions help, let me know! Comments (22)I love the gable windows and have something similar to option 2 in my living room BUT this is rear facing, overlooking the garden and we are not overlooked so we have no need for any window treatments. If the gable window is facing a road and will be in a bedroom I would go with Carolina's advice and have a more conventional window that matches the existing windows. Otherwise, I think you could have problems finding curtains or blinds. Even if you do find them, I think they would ruin the effect you hope to achieve....See MorePeriod property bay windows-curtains dilemma-blinds? patterned? plain?
Comments (1)I think going for a plain look would really enhance the classic style. I hope the images below help. Patterns will make the area too busy....See MoreImogen Hamilton
