Stuck for ideas with my garden
Comments (18)Nice mock up pic of the garden but, the slab steps through the lawn, detract from the varying green shades you have (or could have). The summer house is a nice and smart addition. Although, you may feel some are costly, you should view them the same way you would a property extension as, you can potentially, create extra space (or another room) with summer houses which is a positive. In terms of plants for low maintenance, evergreens will always be an option but, don't dismiss flowering plants as, a garden can be your sanctuary, your private, peaceful, place and as, we at Bouquet Gardens believe, your asset for good health. Pops of colour during the flowering seasons could, help change your mood, inspire you or de-stress you throughout the year....See MoreSink on kitchen island - how to make it look tidy?
Comments (2)Adding a slide over surface could help hide things in the sink ? Either a wooden or composite type surface that's larger than the sink but doesn't interfere with the tap (and new soap dispenser ) try TK Maxx or similar for a good selection of wooden and composite type chopping boards maybe ? Adding a hanging rail for dish cloths over a washing up bowl stored in the under sink cabinet might keep things handy - and can be rinsed and emptied as an when needed . A large jug can look pretty and hide a washing up liquid bottle too perhaps ?...See MoreNeed help with my garden
Comments (8)If you want your garden to be dominated by the new cabin then go for pale colours which will stand out. I would want it to look further away and would stain it black (or very dark grey) with grey deck around it which sets off the numerous greens in the garden really well. I would also Put a layer of planting in front of it so it creates a secondary area of garden. A simple block of tall grasses planted en masse for example. Gardens are the opposite of houses, adding rooms makes them feel bigger!...See MoreHow to keep a kitchen sink area tidy...
Comments (31)In our new kitchen we got a double drawer dishwasher, so we always have space for dirty stuff. Our tea towels and hand towels live on a pull out rail in the left hand cupboard (where the rinse aid and washing tablets also live) and washing up brush, washing up liquid and sponges & cloths, live under the sink in a drawer in the right hand cupboard. Everything gets done in the dishwasher, other than roasting pans, saucepans etc, which get hand washed, drained for a while and then finished off with the tea towel and put way more or less right away. Other than that, there's only our expensive wine glasses, that get washed and dried immediately. All of which tends to keep the area quite clear all the time. I would say that the greatest difference has been made by the double dishwasher, we always used to have dirty stuff hanging around waiting, either for the dishwashing to finish, or waiting for it to be emptied of clean stuff....See MoreLD ceilings
