what is the minimum size for a cloakroom toilet and basin

I am about to convert a room and want to put in a cloakroom with a toilet and basin. As I don't have much space I would like to the minimum size for this cloakroom allowed by building regulations

Check with your architect /building technician - but I'm pretty sure that these days you need wheelchair friendly access too on ground floor ...

I have installed an ensuite the same size as suggested by SharpDesign. It's a good size. We used high end tiles, shower, shower cubicle etc and it looks stunning and is large enough to be luxurious. We also had a radiator and extractor fan. We used a bi-fold door which is fine and kept down the cost a little. Your daughter's room is most definitely large enough to have the size you are suggesting.

Hi Anna, we always love an idea of a cloakroom with pattern tiled floor. There is a great selection of tiles out there, but it can get overwhelming. In general when designing our client’s bathroom we like to stick to a few simple rules. 1. Pair pattern tiles with simple white metro tiles. 2. If you are painting the walls in a colour, then opt for grey or black&white pattern floor. 3. If you are keeping the walls neutral, you can have a pop of colour on the floor to make it stand out-our new favourite are the concrete hexagonal tiles in a green or blue colour. Thanks all - unfortunately I can’t steel any space as I’m actually reducing the size a bit and giving back a proportion of some previously stolen space! The room is about 2.2m x 2m, so in theory plenty big enough for bath, vanity and wc. The problem is a sash window which we can’t place anything beneath because it’s quite low. Luckily the plumber has squeezed every cm from the available space and we are now just short of 20cm between the edge of the toilet seat and the bath. I know it’s not ideal, however we’ve mocked it up and I think it might work!
