Need help with my tiny dining area layout pls
Comments (9)I would suggest built in seating, too. Build in along the wall with the kitchen counter and under the window. I can't see what happens at the end of the wall (door? or another wall?) but it could meet the other wall or you can curve it or angle it at the end if there is a door. Get a rectangular table that has an extra leaf or folds out so you can turn it 90 degrees and extend it for those few times a year you need it. OR if you have a shed and the room, just get a big MDF board that is the size you want for Xmas with four bits of wood attached to the bottom so it sits over your regular table and doesn't move around. Whip it out of the shed and dust it off when you need it. I'll look for some pretty pics now of built ins and dining tables. . ....See Moreneed help decorating my room, any ideas !
Comments (2)Hi. What is your preferred style as there are a few different ones in your Ideabook. What colours do you like? Does the room get a lot of light? What is the flooring? Are you buying everything new? Is the store room for clothes or do you need wardrobes in the room?...See Moreneed help decorating my north facing living room
Comments (14)Thank you yes, it is the room! I bought a tester pot of the F&B Strong White, but when tested it looked cream. I also bought the F&B Anthrocite which was a bit darker. Will try the Bone White also. Love the cushions in the pic - navy with the piping. Would also maybe like to go a bit darker on the back wall as in the pic but wondered if this might be too cold in a north facing room. I know that when the colours dry they appear darker and also in a larger space than just a test area, so may well try something along the lines of the Anthrocite....See MorePlease I need help to lay out my living/dining area
Comments (17)Hi Andrei, From a circulation view point I think you would naturally enter the room and form an arc to the right to the kitchen arriving at the kitchen island so the dining table would be best on the right I feel. A fire on the left where the vase is would look good visually as you walk in and less cluttered along that wall. If the island is movable I would suggest moving it to the right, closer to the sink and hob to allow a line of site from the sofa to the garden though the French doors. Perhaps a square coffee table tucked in close to the right angle of the sofa would be best for circulation and a bigger rug anchored by the legs of the sofa, perhaps curved on its outer edge to echo a round table?...See Morerinuliz123
