Do the exposed bulbs create glare (problems)?

Do the two exposed bulbs provide adequate primary lighting for the bathroom? How well do they work in the bathroom?

There are also recessed lights in the ceiling that provide light in this space. The Edison bulbs would not be enough on their own and the do not create glare.

Hi Jeanette I think that as long as you get your under cabinet lighting right, and your main prep areas are underneath it you should be ok. Under cabinet lighting comes forward to where you are working so should be shadow free. These days with LED light sources it's the lumens that matters and not the watts. Some can be far more efficient than others which means they create more lumens per watt. If your fitting comes with the bulbs included and you get really stuck look for the highest lumens version you can and swap to those. Sam

I can't believe people would want their houses to have a hotel feel. I always thought my mother was complaining when she said that we treated her house like a hotel! My parents never used their Ensuite as the family bathroom was much bigger. I'm not a fan of ensuites and didn't miss loosing one when I moved house. However if I lived in a house as big as Downton Abbey I'd want one lest I met a ghost on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night!
