What is the Swimming pool waterline tile?

Veranda March-April 2015 issue features work by Charles Stick. Page 136 shows a pool. What is the tile/stone at the waterline?

A friend is currently having a pool installed in Northern Tuscany and has opted for a very dark liner almost black. We have a pale blue liner - it looks great at night with the lights on and its easy to spot any dirt too. Depending on where you live - Spain or other locations, you might need to check with your local council to confirm if there are any issues with different coloured liners. I know in our case it had to be blue in our part of Italy. Take your time - pools are expensive so you want to get it right.

A chemical pool cover is a liquid that is lighter than water which floats on the surface of the pool. Particles within the liquid are attracted to each other to form a thin layer to create the cover. The liquid cover is approximately 80% efficient compared to conventional pool covers and unlike a conventional pool cover which has to be removed from the pool for swimming, the particles separate whenever the water is sufficiently disturbed, but the cover reforms whenever the water becomes calm again. Overall we have been very pleased with the product as it has allowed us to refine our design.

Yes ma'm, i know that, but i built a second home in somewhere Borneo island, and in here don't have any speacialist or even exterior designers in this island.. So, i the one will find all by myself and paid the contractor and the workers to built it.. i even bought the tiles and the things in the borneo city and its quite far from here cuz im in the quite small island in borneo.
