How to style a tiny bed room that is so small like a office

I'm fostering 3 children and the eldest (teenage girl) will have the smallest room I want to make it perfect for her and I know she likes plain colours like black white and grey also silver any ideas

White and silver is a lovely combination for a girl's room, with a pretty glass pendant light and a soft blind or curtains. If you wanted to add a splash of colour, you could use a soft accent colour like an aqua or go slightly bolder with Magenta pink, plum or purple. Graham and Green is a good website for fun accessory ideas.

Hi. Do you have a pic off the room and dimensions? What styles or things does she like? Does the room get much light? I'd look for a silver metallic wallpaper and incorporate a large mirror somewhere to make the space feel bigger but if you have more details can look for ideas.

Thank you Thomas that's great - very efficient!! As the space has hard floors and walls it looks like your lacking in the soft furnishings side which is giving it the cold - office like - appearance which is sometimes a little uninviting. A rug will help soften the ground placed under a central coffee table. I would then consider adding some layers or textures and colour with a few cushions and some art on the wall above the sofa. Above the desk I would add a few short shelves which I would include a plant which soften interiors instantly and add life. This will also give you some great additional storage. I can also see two small ledges on either side of the room - this is perfect for some statement lighting with a strip of LED lights down either side. Despite the small size, with clever design it can function very well as a studio for you. Thank you for your help. I was thinking of putting a large bookcase on wall that backs onto utility room but I want to get the desk location right first. I just need plenty of storage and enough space to work on a laptop. I would like the room to double up as a nice reading room too I think. I was hoping to have it as an office and craft room but it's just not big enough for crafting in I don't think, and my husband likes the idea of it also being a reading room too.

So i made the desk, it's ok, if i was to do again i'd spend more time clamping it and getting it level ;) but not bad for £50 in total. I've ordered the Edwin sofa from made.com, it's going to take a while but i like the shape/colour and it won't take up the whole room. I know about the lack of arms but it is only an occasional seat/bed :). I loved the sea foam but i think too dark for my wee room, maybe when I replace my lounge sofa i'd go for that. I'm quite happy overall, I need to dress the window and get some art on the walls.

Hello,

If she is a teenager already I would suggest you to decorate the bedroom according to her age and don't make it look too childish.

You could consider decorating it nicely, I actually collected some pictures to show you what I was thinking about.

Despite the fact that is a small room, it's always nice to interact with the surrounding and engaging the eyes with some ornaments, wall art, colourful images, posters, etc. Wallpaper could look very pretty too, but something more sophisticated, with some stylish/elegant pattern.

Why not add some mirror/s to make the space look bigger and brighter?

Creating a feature wall is also a great idea, covered in a different colour or just in wallpaper. The chandelier could be the outstanding piece of the bedroom.

Furniture: I pretty much like the style of this bed, perhaps you can find something similar to this. It's single size that could fit in and it has a different look of the others.
