Any ideas for window covering on this long window along the stairs
Comments (25)Hi Am following this thread with interest - I have windows like this throughout my house and am finding it really difficult to decide on suitable treatments. On the upside it means the house always looks light and airy! We currently have a series of temporary roller blinds downstairs which work pretty well, but in the bedrooms we have curtains - although they now cover the radiators so not keen as a long term solution. Would also like to have blackout in the two main bedrooms. Does anyone know if extra wide roman blinds are available anywhere? We'd like an unfussy look. Suggestions and pics most welcome. Thanks....See MoreWindow treatment ideas for young girls room
Comments (24)A Life More Beautiful - I appreciate the advice for moving the rod. I'll give that a try. It shouldn't be much of an issue for the drapes as they are very close to floor length but are covered up by the bed and the rocker anyway. :). So there should be a gap between the rod & the top of the shades then? I think my husband assumed it should sit right on top. I've actually never heard of a pelmet. I'm off to check google! I thought the fairy lights were rather cute & the girls love them. Only a few dollars at ikea too. :)...See MoreHelp for window treatment

The curtains would be floor to ceiling and look gorgeous whether open or shut. A room width rail at ceiling height could sit the curtain to the left of the window when open, perhaps with a luxurious tie back and the curtain, when pulled over, would cover the entire wall as before. I DARE you to go for WHITE linen or, better still, WHITE velvet. Stunning! Bee...See MoreIdeas for Window Treatment for a Gable End
Comments (1)Hi there - what an exciting project! Full-height windows like this can be tricky to dress, so our suggestion would be for the simple, easy-to-clean and minimal solution of shutters - and yes, those high triangular windows can have shutters made for them too. This example from our Kelly Hoppen range maybe shows how sophisticated and sleek they can look from inside a contemporary kitchen space, especially when you have a large expanse of glass to cover......See Morecmcole01
