How many bathrooms do you have in your home?
Comments (8)One bathroom per person + cloakroom for guests surely is convenient, but they all need maintenance. In an ideal world en-suit for each bedroom, a lush master bathroom and a guest bathroom, but in London's reality, an en-suit for master bedroom, family bathroom and a cloakroom for guests is just about enough....See MoreHome security and Video Bells?
Comments (3)My previous property had the Arlo security system installed (alarm and doorbell). Everything worked flawlessly and it was a very comprehensive system doing everything we needed it to and more:- Arlo Doorbell:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Arlo-Doorbell-Detection-Existing-Required/dp/B088G3X7X3 I’m moving into a new property myself in the next 4-6 weeks and for my own place I’ve got my eye on the soon to be released Ring Alarm (2nd Gen) and the new Wired Ring doorbell as the property comes pre-wired for it:- Alarm:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/ring-alarm-5-piece-kit-2nd-generation/ Doorbell:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08LR3G17D?ref=ods_ucc_echo_B08LR3G17D_rc_nd_ucc The only reason for not going with the Arlo myself is cost, but both look good systems. I’ve also got a pre-order for the new Echo Show 10” as my living area is at the rear of the property so having the option to see who’s at the door without getting up is a bonus:- Echo 10” (3rd Gen);- https://www.amazon.co.uk/all-new-echo-show-10-hd-smart-display-with-motion-and-alexa-charcoal/dp/B084P3KP2R...See MoreFrench Door - Have you secured your's ?
Comments (9)You need to look at everything, not just locks. Locks are important obviously so make sure you have Sold Secure diamond or similar antisnap cylinders + BS multi point locking. Decent frames also, wood still good to use, looks a lot better imo. Also need decent strong hinges x 3 per leaf and dog bolts recessed into the frames top and bottom on hinge sides to stop door leaves being lifted out if hinges cut thro. Laminated security glass also recommended as this will be very hard to break through as the laminate holds the glass together for longer. Suggest you also read up on the Secured by Design website and check your insurance requirements. Good luck....See MoreGarden/Home privacy and security
Comments (10)If you put trellis behind the whole length of the wall you won't need to worry about fitting it between the piers. The best thing is to fix batons to the wall (vertically to avoid water puddling on top) and then fix the trellis panels to those and butt them together. It's best to use the really sturdy trellis. That gives room for the plants to grow through and behind the trellis to get a good hold. You can use string or even zip ties to tie in the branches. There are some really long thorned pyracanthas which have lovely flowers and which stand up well to indiscriminate pruning and neglect....See MoreAmber Jeavons Ltd
