Comments (10)Personally I think eclectic what I would do. I think I would be looking for a contemporary four poster bed, choosing velvet and metallics for a lux feel but then teaming it with contemporary white textured furniture. (Images from the Next catalogue) For the same reason I also think that Chinese style white furniture also works. I think one of the rooms might well end up with green accents, but I don't think I would like green furniture - would prefer something neutral so that if we wanted to change the colour scheme in the future we could easily without having to replace the furniture. I suspect the other (master) bedroom will end up a more coastal colour scheme. @Sonia, thank you I had been looking at the Cotswold Company so that's good to hear their stuff might work quite nicely. Sadly we don't live that close to any of their stores and I tend to like to see furniture in the flesh but perhaps we'll have to make a trek. Would still be interested to hear what wood types/colours would work best as I don't really like all matching furniture in a room, so I suspect we'll want to have various different items in each of the two bedrooms,....See MorePumpkin
