What works well?

Help!

I usually use a lot of browns and taupes but for a change I have painted 2 walls down pipe by F&B. It's a large light room and I like the colour but I'm not sure what to put with in! We have a wooden floor and a lot of wood furniture. What colours would work well?

Hi. It's a great colour and pretty much anything works! For the walls look at warm metallic picture/mirror frames. You don't mention what type of room it is but tan leather goes well, colour wise my favourites would be dark teal, burnt orange or grass/emerald green but fuschia, mustard, red etc all work ( as would some white or more grey!). What are your favourite colours? It's quite a popular colour so just google images of it to give you ideas as to what you like

The grey has a blue tinge, the copper has an orange tinge, they are already complementing each other. I would keep everything else neutral but if you need to choose a flooring or other tiles keep it earthy and natural (maybe slate) but avoid white tiles.

I had a fireplace like this in my old flat with the same alcoves - we painted the fireplace white (can't remember which paint now), covered the mantelpiece in plants that hung and trailed and shelved out the alcoves for books and artwork with the tv at the bottom on the left hand side. I loved it! You can get a really cool mid-century feel with those fireplaces. Unfortunately being in a city we weren't allowed to light the fire so we had pillar candles in the actual fire place which made it feel cosy

What type of coffee table will work well with this sideboard?

I like both suggestions by At No 19 with the additional thought that if you go for an ottoman a round one would tie in with the sideboard design. I'd definitely try to add extra colour and texture to your scheme to give the room interest. Unless your lounge is huge, I think it's both practical and fun to have several smaller pieces that can easily be moved around the room to provide as coffee table and/or extra seating. The space then becomes more flexible and the floor isn't taken up with a large piece of furniture in the centre of it. What floor tiles go well with marble multi panels for bathroom??

I think a simple grey floor tile, assuming your marble panels are grey and white, would be a nice solution. Another option is to go for black and white floor tiles giving a nod to the Victorian age of your home. Some people carry the marble look through into the flooring too.
