Poll: Where do you hide your laundry basket?
Comments (25)We have a pull-out section in a wardrobe with 3 sections (whites, brights and darks) for dirty laundry. It's in our bedroom so might be a pain if there were other people in the house. I keep meaning to put in some fabric bags (the drawer is a bit too deep) to make it easier. Clean stuff for ironing is on the shelf above. The ironing board is set up in a spare bedroom but I like to iron in our bedroom so that I can watch TV at the same time. Plus the clothes can be put back easily into the wardrobes without carting them around the house....See MorePOLL: Where do you keep your bin?
Comments (23)We have a small bin under the sink for non recycling things, black plastic, the pods from my coffee machine, dirty kitchen roll etc., which before 5p a bag started, used to be lined with a shopping bag, now I save the planet by buying a roll of bin bags! We also have a small food compost bin next to it, which I buy special bags for from amazon. Then, in the garage, which is next to the utility room we have the paper, tin, glass, plastic recycling boxes, the big food bin with the strong lid and the larger general waste bin which is collected every fortnight. I hate seeing bins outside houses and think that the new bin system which requires such a collection of bins has meant some terraced houses in our area have gone down in value, the residents are not always tidy and the council should provide better ways of collecting and dealing with rubbish when people find it hard to store it out of sight. Seeing bins around is one of my big pet hates!...See MorePOLL: What type of decorations do you prefer on your Christmas tree?
Comments (12)I'm with eimearcahill, there is absolutely NOTHING tasteful about my Christmas decorations, it's excess everywhere. I did suggest when my daughters both got to their twenties that I might scale things back a bit but, after a reaction that could have earned them a walk on part in The Grinch who Stole Christmas, I realised that it was obviously very important that I spent the best part of a day turning the house into Santa's grotto :D I now have a granddaughter so I am resigned to many more years to come.......See MorePOLL: Where do you eat your breakfast?
Comments (8)Gosh, I love that clean, sunny breakfast set up on your introductory picture - it's my fantasy breakfast! In reality, sadly, I have to stick the kettle and the television on simultaneously so I can gradually come alive over a black coffee, home made (yes, really) granola and someone cheerfully telling me that awful weather is on the way. :)...See MoreUser
